The track is the second single that preceeds Christina Aguilera’s eighth studio album, "Liberation" and fits perfectly with the ideology of the #MeToo movement against sexual harassment and assault, although it was written way before the movement was publicized by the media. Both artists, however, have been very vocal about their struggles as female artists in the music industry over the past few years, with Demi Lovato criticizing TIME Magazine for portraying #MeToo women next to the accused president Trump in December 2017, and supporting Kesha during her battle against rape in the music industry in 2016.
The two performed the song live for the first time at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards, which aired on May 20.
The music video was released a week after the official release, on May 23, 2018. In the music video, Aguilera and Lovato are trying to escape from the constant pressure and control of the media and cameras, to eventually break out.
Fall in Line

'Cause no one told me
But you deserve to know
That in this world, you are not beholden
You do not owe them
Your body and your soul
All the youth in the world will not save you from growing older
It's just the way it is
Maybe it's never gonna change
But I got a mind to show my strength
And I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
But I got a fire in my veins
I wasn't made to fall in line
No, I wasn't made to fall in line, no
Show some skin, make him want you
'Cause God forbid you
Know your own way home
And ask yourself why it matters
Who it flatters
You're more than flesh and bones
All the youth in the world will not save you from growing older
And all the truth in the girl is too precious to be stolen from her
It's just the way it is
And maybe it's never gonna change
But I got a mind to show my strength
And I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
But I got a fire in my veins
I wasn't made to fall in line
No, no, I wasn't made to fall in line
No, we aren't made to fall in line, oh
Two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth
Stick your ass out for me (oh)
March, two, three
One, two, three
Who told you you're allowed to think? (yeah)
One, two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth (oh)
Stick your ass out for me
March, two, three
One, two, three
Who told you you're allowed to think?
It's just the way it is
Maybe it's never gonna change
But I got a mind to show my strength
And I got a right to speak my mind
And I'm gonna pay for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
But I got a fire in my veins
I wasn't made to fall in line
I wasn't made to leave my fate
I'm never gonna fall in line, oh
One, two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth
Stick your ass out for me
March, two, three
One, two, three
Who told you you're allowed to think?
Yeah, two, three
Right, two, three
Shut your mouth
Stick your ass out for me
March, two, three
One, two, three
Who told you you're allowed to think?
In "Fall In Line," Christina Aguilera speaks directly to young girls and tells them that they don't have to submit to the expectations of society. She encourages them to recognize their inherent value and not to give in to those who try to control them. The lyrics seem to address the way that young girls are often treated as objects to be looked at and desired rather than being valued for their own unique qualities. The line "show some skin, make him want you" highlights how girls are often told to behave in order to gain approval, rather than being encouraged to be their authentic selves.
The chorus repeats the idea that although society may try to control girls, she wasn't made to fall in line. She doesn't want to conform to what others expect of her and is willing to pay the price for being true to herself. The bridge amplifies this message with a clear rejection of the notion that girls should be passive and obedient. The chant "shut your mouth, stick your ass out for me" contradicts the message of the song and highlights the way that society often reinforces gender stereotypes and objectifies women.
Overall, "Fall In Line" delivers a powerful message about female empowerment and self-worth. It encourages young girls to be true to themselves and challenges the gender stereotypes that often hold them back.

Little girls, listen closely
Girls, pay attention
'Cause no one told me
No one informed me
But you deserve to know
But you have the right to know
That in this world, you are not beholden
You are not obligated in this world
You do not owe them
You are not indebted to them
Your body and your soul
Your physical and spiritual self
Show some skin, make him want you
Reveal your body, manipulate him to desire you
'Cause God forbid you
'Cause it's unacceptable
Know your own way home
Be self-aware and independent
And ask yourself why it matters
Question why this is important
Who it flatters
Who it appeals to
You're more than flesh and bones
You are more than just a physical body
But I got a mind to show my strength
I am determined to display my power
And I got a right to speak my mind
I have the right to express my thoughts
And I'm gonna pay for this
I will face repercussions for this
They're gonna burn me at the stake
They will punish me severely
But I got a fire in my veins
I am driven and passionate
I wasn't made to fall in line
I was not created to conform
No, we aren't made to fall in line, oh
No, we don't have to conform
Shut your mouth
Stop talking
Stick your ass out for me (oh)
Bend over and expose yourself
March, two, three
March in line
One, two, three
Counting for the marching
Who told you you're allowed to think? (yeah)
Who gave you permission to think critically?
I wasn't made to leave my fate
I wasn't created to let destiny control me
I'm never gonna fall in line, oh
I will never conform

Just not that much of a good song... this constantly belting is just hurtful after a few times listening.

@hollytillman5396
It’s not about the singing it’s about the message about sex trafficking and how women are abused because of their bodies and appearance
