Christina Li Lyrics

I dove right in.
...
We were partners in crime
And I had no one else.
...
We were always
Waiting for the letter to come.
When we decided
That we had enough.
No more waiting.
We deided that we had enough.
No more waiting.
...
Ice pierced right through my skin
And it touched my heart.
...
We were always
Waiting for the letter to come.
Until that sunday
When we decided that we had enough.
No more waiting.
We decided that we had enough.
No more waiting.
We were always
Waiting for the letter to come.
Till that Sunday
When we decided that we had enough.
No more waiting.
We decided that we had enough.
No more waiting.
I decided that I had enough.
No more waiting.
In Christina Li's song "Ocean", the lyrics evoke feelings of isolation, vulnerability, and perseverance. The opening lines, "Cold on the outskirts of droop. I dove right in..." suggest that the singer of the song is facing a difficult situation or emotion head-on, despite feeling overwhelmed. The following line, "We were partners in crime, and I had no one else," suggests that the singer has formed a close bond with another person, who provides comfort and support during a challenging time. This person may be a friend or partner who is going through a similar experience.
The repetition of the phrase "We were always waiting for the letter to come" creates a sense of longing and anticipation. The nature of the letter is unclear, but it seems to represent something that the singer is hoping for or waiting on. The line "Until that Sunday when we decided that we had enough" suggests that the waiting has become too much to bear, and the singer and their companion have decided to take action. The final lines, "Ice pierced right through my skin, and it touched my heart" describe a physical and emotional pain that the singer is experiencing, but also suggests that this experience has provided a newfound sense of clarity and determination.
Overall, the lyrics to "Ocean" suggest a journey of self-discovery, as the singer faces difficult emotions head-on and forms meaningful connections with others. The repeated motif of waiting and the decision to take action create a sense of momentum and progression, as the singer moves towards a place of greater strength and resilience.
