She is the original singer behind Jamelia's international hit single "Superstar", which was written and produced by Remee and BMG partners Cutfather & Joe. It spent seven weeks at number one on the official Danish hitlist, sold over 12,000 copies, and gave Milton her very first gold and platinum record in 2003.
Unbeknown to Christine Milton, the rights for the international release of the track "Superstar" were acquired by EMI for recording with British singer Jamelia. It is rumoured that Cutfather and Joe believed Jamelia had more of a chance at scoring international success. Christine Milton remains in legal dispute with Cutfather and Joe as they had promised her the international rights to the track.
On 13 April 2005 Christine released her debut album "Friday". Written and produced by hitmakers GHOST (Robyn, Jennifer Brown and Thomas Helmig), Cutfather and Joe (Kylie Minogue, Westlife, Brandy, O-Town, Blue, Christina Aquilera and Angie Stone) and Remee (Robyn, Beverley Knight, Shaznay Lewis) the album was a #1 success in Denmark. It also spawned the further singles Shine On, Whicketywhack (I Don't Want You Back) and So Addictive.

So forgive me if I blow your cover
Don't walk away from me
'Cause you know I'll never find another
Noone else is giving the stuff that you do
It's not as real not as clean not as pure not as true
Noone else is giving the rate that you give
It only cost a little time then you blew my mind now I'm
Like an addict
And it only hits me when the sun goes down
And you're not around I'm
Like an addict
Didn't wanna let you get this close to me
You take control of me addict
You make me sick
And I wish that I could do without ya
I should have thought of this
Before I learned so much about ya
Noone else is giving the stuff that you do
It's not as real not as clean not as pure not as true
Noone else is giving the rate that you give
It only cost a little time then you blew my mind now I'm
Like an addict
And it only hits me when the sun goes down
And you're not around I'm
Like an addict
Didn't wanna let you get this close to me
You take control of me addict
Listen to my story true
One day I had a taste
He is always on my mind
Think about him all the time
Like an addict'
In the song "Addict", Christine Milton talks about being addicted to someone and the feeling of not being able to live without them. She admits to trying to keep their relationship quiet or discreet, but she can't help how she feels. The person she is singing about gives her something that nobody else can, and they give it to her in a way that nobody else can. She talks about how it is not real, clean, pure or true with anyone else.
This song is about addiction, and it's not just about substance abuse but addiction to a person. Addiction is a powerful thing that can take control of someone's life, just like Christine sings in the song. She talks about how he makes her sick, but at the same time, she can't live without him. This song is relatable to many people because many have felt the same way in a relationship. People have a tendency to ignore the red flags in relationships, hoping that things will get better. Some even get addicted to the feeling of being needed by someone else. That is what this song portrays.
