The other reindeers used to make fun of Rudolph and make him feel excluded by calling him names like Pinocchio. They wouldn't even let him play in any of their games.

One year on a foggy Christmas Eve, Santa Claus asked Rudolph if he would guide his sleigh that night due to his bright nose that would help guide the way.
