Outside Of This Town
Christone "Kingfish" Ingram Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I'm leaving this town tomorrow
I got many places to see
And many places to go
I'm so tired of doing the same old thing
Shooting for the highest star
Want people to remember my name

If you don't undersant
Let me break it down
I know that there's life
Outside of this town

I have friends and family that I see everyday
Don't plan on moving forward
Stuck in the same old place
But that's not the road that I wanna go down
I gotta do what's best for me
Ain't no hanging around

I could stay here forever
But I just can't stick around
I know that there's life
Outside of this town

When the rooster crows I'm leaving
And I ain't looking back
All you gonna see is taillights
Crossing those railroad tracks

If I don't leave I'll die here
And end up six feet down
I know that there's life
Outside of this town
Outside of this town

Outside of this town
Outside of this town

Keep the blues alive brother. 👌👌 B.B King passed the torch to you and it's in safe hands.

@douglaspaterson5269

The reincarnation of BB.😂

Man isn't that the truth. Capable hands. 👏🎸

@ajlapiana

BB king doesn't come close. its more like hes got SRV and Gary Moore's touch.

@kamogeloboale1051

@@ajlapiana think it's coz of the era. SRV was around and younger for when blues was turning into rock. And this is very close to rock, whereas King wasn't. So with that it's obvious he'd sound more like Vaughn. Not necessarily better or worse than sounding like King, as suggested by your reaction. Different genres.

Like if I make jazz fusion and you say Davis, Armstrong, Holley, etc don't even come close. Sure, coz it's not jazz, it's jazz fusion
Different era and genre
