Spanish pop/rock band Chucho was formed by singer/guitarist Fernando Alfaro after Surfin' Bichos disbanded in 1994, who was soon joined by ex-República Gorila bassist Carlos Rodríguez and drummer Javier Fernández. The group recorded a self-titled EP in 1995, released by independent Limbo Starr Records. Chucho's first album, called 78, was recorded after signing up to Virgin in 1997; the album includes "El Detonador EMX-3," which was featured in the movie soundtrack of Alejandro Amenabar's Abre Los Ojos. 78, voted Best Record of the Year by Rock de Luxe magazine, was followed by an EP called Sal. After guitarist Miguel Gascón joined in, the band recorded Tejido de Felicidad, produced by ex-Negu Gorriak Kaki Arkarazo, released by Virgin in 1999. Singer Isabel León and local musician Emilio Abengoza teamed up with Chucho to make 2001's Los Diarios de Petróleo.
Afterwards in 2004 Chucho released their last album called "Koniec" and then disbanded. Nowadays ex-members of Chucho and Mercromina has joined again to tour as old Surfin' Bichos.

es ese futuro
en que lo seguro es que ya
no seremos jóvenes.
Y fui
buscando redención
y con una mochila
llena de pastillas salí.
Una f-foto tuya y creció la duda,
Laura Palmer otra vez.
Ya despega el avión,
y a mí me me despega
Laura Palmer otra vez.
Ya que te había olvidao,
una foto tuya, qué inoportuna,
me abrió la puerta.
Ya te había enterrao
y una foto tuya
sembró la duda otra vez.
La ciencia-ficción
es ese futuro
en que lo seguro es que ya
a no seremos jóvenes,
y pérdida y mutilación
vuelve a ser la historia
de mi memoria otra vez.
The song “Una F-foto Tuya” by Chucho is a ballad that explores the themes of loss, memory, and the uncertainty of the future. The opening lines describe the concept of science fiction as a future in which one thing is certain: that we will not be young anymore. The singer then describes his quest for redemption, carrying a bag full of pills. The line “fui buscando redención” suggests a sense of desperation, as if the singer is on a mission to find some sort of salvation.
The chorus of the song revolves around a photograph of the person the singer has lost. The line “una f-foto tuya y creció la duda” suggests that the photograph has stirred doubt and uncertainty within the singer. He thought he had forgotten about the person in the photograph, but seeing it again has brought them back to the forefront of his thoughts. The reference to Laura Palmer, the central character of the television show Twin Peaks, reinforces the idea that the singer’s situation is like that of the show’s characters, all of whom are grappling with loss and the aftermath of a traumatic event.
The final stanza of the song echoes the opening lines, with the singer returning to the themes of science fiction and memory. The line “en que lo seguro es que ya no seremos jóvenes” suggests that the future is uncertain and unknown, and that the singer is resigned to the fact that he cannot change the past. The repetition of the line “pérdida y mutilación vuelve a ser la historia de mi memoria otra vez” reinforces the idea of memory as a cycle that repeats over and over again, even as the world changes around us.
