I don't think it would matter what reaction he did. Nobody is ever viewing him in terms other than "makes my blood boil" irrespective of how he conducts himself. Let me explain....
1) stays silent and shows no emotion. People would say its disgusting that he had no emotion and said nothing
2) shows emotion and regret. People would say "crocodile tears" and that he's just scared at being captured and doesn't care about the victims
3) "Hmmm" after every line. Makes peopled blood boil
4) looks down at the floor. People would say how dare he shut out the pain by avoiding eye contact
5) looks at the victims. People would say how dare he look at the victims
6) covers his ears. People would say how dare he try to shut out the pain by not listening to what he has done
7) laughs and says he isn't sorry. People would say its disgusting that he is still piling more trauma on the victims

Everybody's a gangster until the inmates find out you killed a child.
@Dino-qv6bg
Yup, they’re going to treat him REAL special once he gets assigned a prison cell.
@RadDadisRad
You’d be surprised, lots of inmates are in for disgusting things.

@@RadDadisRad yep and depending on how disgusting it is you get out in your place. There are rules on the inside, or a code that’s followed. You’ll receive no respect, no sympathy and your gonna be a huge target for inmates wanting to prove themselves to the gangs on the inside.

The lead detective adopted the surviving son into his family of 8. He’s doing awesome now. It’s the best possible ending to the terrible events this man started.
