Matter of Time
Church Of Rhythm Lyrics

And I almost drowned
Sometimes the happiness just all fades away
And it can't be found, no
But I won't give up, no I won't give in
Cause after the night, a new day will begin
See the clouds roll away and the rain end
I know after it all I will live again
It's only a matter of time
Till I'm back on my feet and I'm standing tall
No it won't keep me down, I will not fall
I know You're by my side, You help me through it all
You're with me all the way
The waters rise above my head
It's a churning flood
Make me feel like givin' in
Or even wish that I was dead
But then You pull me out
And You lift me up to a higher place
To a refuge of hope, sheltered in Your embrace
When storms arrive and vile tempests blow
There's only one safe harbor that I know
You calm the storm, You calm the raging sea
And You will never turn Your love from me
In "Matter of Time," the singer is grappling with a difficult moment in their life. The rain has fallen down and almost drowned them, causing them to lose sight of their happiness. Despite this, they refuse to give up because they believe that a new day will come. The sun will shine again, the clouds will roll away, and the rain will end. They know that with time, they will be back on their feet standing tall. Although the singer feels as if they are completely alone, they are aware that they have someone by their side who is helping them through this tough time, and that person is God.
However, the singer's troubles do not seem to end there. They feel as if they are drowning in a churning flood, and they are close to giving up or even wishing for death, but God saves them. By lifting them up and bringing them to a safe place, God gives them hope and shelter. When the storms of life come and the tempests rage, the singer finds comfort in knowing there is only one safe harbor, and that is God. They believe that in moments of turmoil, God has the power to calm the storm and the raging sea. They trust that God will never turn his love away from them.

Well however you guys started, I thoroughly enjoyed your music. It is a shame that you all didn't last longer. Your version of "It is Well" was one of the best I have ever heard in that style. Whatever you all are doing, I pray you are still following the Lord and maybe someday a reunion will happen. A lot of the bands from that day are finding new life in this area (ie Audio Adrenaline, Newsboys)
