It was initially formed as a group therapy in an Heroin addiction rehabilitation clinic and named "Cicatriz en la matriz". 1984 After some changes the formation consolidated with Natxo Etxebarrieta and his grilfriend Poti (singers), Jose Arteaga AKA Pepin (guitar), Pakito Rodrigo (bass) and Pedro Landatxe AKA Pedrito (drum). They release a demotape with well known songs as «Botes de humo», «Cuidado burócratas» or «Aprieta el gatillo» that they would recover in later albums. Poti lefts the band and moves to London. 1985 Already as just "Cicatriz" they record a split with Kortatu, Jotakie and Kontuz-Hi! and become very well known because of their provocative attitude and powerful live performances. 1986 They record their very acclaimed first LP "Inadaptados". 1987 Pepin suffers some problems because of his Heroin addiction and Goar Iñurreta substitutes him as live guitar player. 1988 Returning from a trip to Netherlands Natxo and his girlfriend Poti are caught with LSD, Amphetamine and other substances and accused of drug traffic. Natxo is condemned to 4 years 2 months and 1 day, he manages to collect the money for the bail and is released after 3 months, only to suffer soon later a severe motorbike accident, the bands activity suddenly stops. 1991 Once Natxo is able to walk with the aid of crutches and using the money that he received because of the traffic accident they create their own label "Zika Records" and record in London their second album titled "4 años, 2 meses y 1 día" in reference to Natxo's sentence. This year Pepin is found dead because of an Heroin overdose. 1992 They record their third and last studio LP "Colgado de ti". 1993 Pakito dies because of AIDS. Dieguillo (Quemando Ruedas) substitutes him at the Bass. Natxo and Pedrito are already infected with AIDS too. 1994 Without Pedrito who is too weakened Cicatriz makes their last tour, one of this concerts is recorded and released in 1995 as "En directo" in the memory of Pakito. Soon after Natxo and Pedrito died too.
