In 2007, the oldest five girls of the family launched Cimorelli as a vocal group. They recorded covers of charting songs and uploaded them to YouTube every few weeks.
In 2008, the girls released their first EP Cimorelli. Each song was written by Christina and Lauren with the vocal harmonies arranged by Lisa. It has not been released under a record label.
Cimorelli became clients of Sugababes manager Sarah Stennett in 2009. In 2010, their youngest sister, Dani joined the band. The entire family of 11 children moved to Southern California so the girls could pursue their music career. They signed with Universal, and released the CimFam EP in iTunes on December 6, 2011. The EP features an original song and five covers.
In May 2012, Cimorelli won "The Bieber-Off", a contest by Ryan Seacrest where they covered Justin Bieber's hit "Boyfriend". In July, they were nominated for "Choice Web Star" at the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.
On December 3, Cimorelli announced they will be releasing the EP, Believe It on iTunes and Amazon, and their title track's music video on their VEVO YouTube channel, on December 11.
On June 18 Cimorelli released their fourth EP named "Made in America". It consisted of four songs which were all original - one of which was a studio version of their song Wings.
On May 4, 2014, Cimorelli performed at DigiFest in London. On June 7, 2014, Cimorelli performed at DigiFest NYC. On June 14, 2014, Cimorelli performed at DigiFest Toronto. In June of 2014, Cimorelli launched a web series entitled "Summer with Cimorelli", which was sponsored by the restaurant franchise Subway. Cimorelli began releasing new music on June 5, 2014 with their first single from their upcoming EP/Album "What I Do". The second single "Everything You Have", also featured in the girls' web series, was released on June 9, 2014. On August 25, 2014, the girls released their third single "Come Over". They released their fifth EP, Renegade, on October 27, 2014. The group's first full-length album is expected to be released in late 2014.

Hello There
Cimorelli Lyrics

By the corner,
As I pass you by for the last time,
Tell me do I look familiar,
Cos to me I can see that I've seen you before.
Hello there,
Do my shoes on the pavement,
Cos I used to be falling apart,
But now I'm back to the start.
It took me so long to realise,
It took me so long to see,
There's so much more out there,
A new harmony to my melody,
And the song goes on in my head,
And the song goes on in my head.
Hello there,
Could you spare me a moment,
As a matter of fact, throw your clock out the window,
And give me all your time,
Make you mine.
It took me so long to realise,
It took me so long to see,
There's so much more out there,
A new harmony to my melody,
And the song goes on in my head,
And the song goes on in my head.
It goes: oh baby, baby, baby, baby.
Oh baby, baby.
Can't stop thinking about you,
Can't get you outa my mind,
Your song is playing in my head,
Over and over again.
It took me so long to realise,
It took me so long to see,
There's so much more out there,
A new harmony to my melody,
Woah woah.
It took me so long to realise,
It took me so long to see,
There's so much more out there,
A new harmony to my melody,
And the song goes on in my head,
And the song goes on in my head.
It goes: oh baby, baby, baby, baby.
Oh baby, baby.
And the song goes on in my head,
And the song goes on in my head,
And the song goes on in my head, (oh baby, baby, baby, baby)
And the song goes on in my head, (oh baby, baby, baby, baby)
And the song goes on in my head, (oh baby, baby, baby, baby)
And the song goes on in my head, (oh baby, baby, baby, baby)
And the song goes on in my head, (oh baby, baby, baby, baby)
And the song goes on in my head, (oh baby) baby now!
The lyrics of "Hello There" by Cimorelli suggest a person's journey of rediscovering themselves and their value. The lyrics start with a person passing someone by the corner, and wondering if they look familiar, for the person has seen them before. The person's shoes are still on the pavement, but they have come a long way from falling apart to being back at the start. This opening verse suggests that the person has gone through a transformation, and wants to reconnect with their past, or perhaps, with someone they left behind.
In the second verse, the person implores the other to spare them a moment and throw their clock out the window. The person wants to recapture the time they lost, and make it right. The lyrics then repeat the chorus, which emphasizes the person's realization that there is more out there, a new harmony to their melody, which suggests that the person has found new purpose or meaning in life, and that they carry a melody that will play on in their head.
The last verse emphasizes that the person cannot stop thinking about the other, and that their song plays over and over in their head. The repetition of the chorus emphasizes the person's realization that they did not fully appreciate themselves before, but now they have found a new purpose that gives them a sense of peace and contentment, which is why the song goes on in their head.
Overall, the lyrics of "Hello There" suggest a person's journey of self-discovery and realization that they have value and purpose in the world. The song's repeated chorus is a reminder that life goes on, and that there is always a new harmony to be discovered.

The first minute was a little rough but they pulled it together beautifully after that. Very good for their first gig with instruments. It's obvious that Amy, Lisa and Amy were beginners on their respective instruments but they hung in there well. I would love to see how good they'd be if they broke out the equipment and jammed now.
