Cincinnati Pops Orchestra Erich Kunzel Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Gonna fly now, flying high now
Gonna fly, fly, fly
Rocky's ready to make a move, yeah
Rocky's ready he just can't lose, yeah
Every nerve a wire sweatin' blood, like fire
Body's achin' from the hurt it's takin'
muscles screamin' like a burnin' demon
Every nerve a wire sweatin' blood, like fire

Tryin' hard now, it's so hard now
Tryin' hard now, Rocky power by the hour
Pumpin' iron God ya know he's tryin'
Every nerve a wire sweatin' blood, like fire
Gonna fly now, flyin' high now
Gonna fly, fly, fly

Feelin' strong now, won't be long now
Gettin' strong now, fists like thunder gonna put you under
Pumpin' iron God ya know he's tryin'

Every nerve a wire sweatin' blood, like fire
Gonna fly now, flyin' high now

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra & Erich Kunzel's "The Magnificent Seven" describe the intense feelings of determination and drive that come with preparing for a fight. The singer, presumably Rocky, is ready to make a move and is confident that he cannot lose. However, his body is also acutely aware of the pain and strain it is undergoing, with every nerve feeling like a wire sweating blood and muscles screaming like a burning demon. Despite the difficulty, Rocky keeps trying harder and harder, powered by the hour, and feeling strong and unstoppable as fists like thunder are going to put his opponent under.

Overall, the lyrics paint a picture of someone who is pushing themselves to the limit in order to achieve a goal. Despite the pain and intensity of the experience, they are determined to succeed and willing to push their body and mind to their absolute limits in order to come out on top.

Let There Be Sound!

Thanks man! That's such an awesome comment. I really appreciate it.

But let me ask you because I am curious. Are you saying that you also have this cassette tape and that you have compared the physical cassette with your ripped CD file in your system?

Or...

Are you comparing your ripped file vs. my video?

Because that would be even that much mind-blowing!

The late Maestro Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra opened my mind to OST music, and from there later, I ventured into the classical music world. May he rest in peace.
The Round-Up cassette was one of the first cassette tapes I bought, having to save up for an entire month. So that makes this video very special for me personally.
Thank you "Let There Be Sound!" for the awesome upload. Stay safe and healthy! πŸ™

Awesome sound. Amazing how good this sounds when cassette was originally meant just for voice dictation and not music.

Let There Be Sound!

I agree. It is mind-blowing! πŸ™πŸ»

Amazing how close the cassette SQ is to a ripped CD on my system. Very slight differences, and with a slight addition of warmth from the cassette. Impeccable upload, as always. Thanks for another pleasurable listen.

@Let There Be Sound! My comparison is with your video and my original 1987 Telarc CD that I ripped and play back from my Roon Nucleus via Chord DAVE.
