The band's debut album,Young Chasers, was released on March 30, 2015 on the Virgin EMI label and was produced by Dan Grech. Harriet Gibsone in the Guardian described the album as having "traces of We Are Scientists, the Kooks, the Libertines and Razorlight". It features the title track from their 2014 Young Chasers EP, as well as the singles "T-Shirt Weather" and "Fossils".
The band's second album, Different Creatures, was released on March 10, 2017, on the Virgin EMI label and was produced by Alan Moulder and Kieran Shudall. After releasing three different singles ("Wake Up", "Fire That Burns" and "Stuck"), the band came up with a deeper and more mature composition that keeps the first album's energy adding more meaningful lyrics and unusual instruments like violins and cellos.
On 5 April 2019 the band released their third studio album titled, What's It Like Over There?, to critical success. It was supported by the singles, "Times Won't Change Me", "Movies", and "The Way We Say Goodbye". The album earned critical acclaim for its mix of indie and pop rock, as well as the experimentation by the band. It peaked at Number 10 on the UK Albums Chart.
On 19 November 2019 the band released the single "Jacqueline" via BBC Radio 1. The single was accompanied by the announcement of their fourth studio album Sad Happy. The album was released in two parts, with the 'Happy' side released in January 2020 and the 'Sad' side followed in March 2020. According to the band, the double album concept "represents two sides of this tech-saturated, highly insecure age".
Times Won’t Change Me

In every thunder I wonder how
The sky is falling
And every morning
I say these times won't change me now
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now
Cut the labels from our necks
If God is coming
Well, God can save us
'Cause these times won't change me now
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now
Change me now, now, now
Now, now, now
I heard it coming
Unpack the pictures from the shelves
I kept the sunset to myself
'Cause these times won't change me now
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now
We cut the corners
Cut the labels from our necks
If God is coming
Well, God can save us
'Cause these times won't change me now
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now
Change me now, now, now
Now, now, now
Change me now, now, now
Now, now, now
No, these times won't change me now
(Change me now, change me now)
No, these times won't change me now
(Change me now, change me now)
No, these times won't change me now
(Change me now, change me now)
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now, change me now
'Cause these times won't change me now
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now
'Cause these times won't change me now
No, these times won't change me now
Change me now
Change me now, now, now
Now, now, now
Change me now, now, now
Now, now, now
The lyrics of Circa Waves' "Times Won't Change Me" reflect the idea of maintaining one's identity and personal beliefs in the midst of uncertainty and change. The song begins with the singer acknowledging the looming storm and questioning how it will affect him. The repetition of "these times won't change me now" emphasizes the singer's determination to stay true to himself and his principles despite the chaos around him.
In the second verse, the lyrics describe a rebellion against conformity, as the singer and his peers "cut the labels from [their] necks". The lyrics suggest that the coming of God or a higher power will not deter them from their chosen path. The imagery of "unpack[ing] the pictures from the shelves" and keeping the "sunset to [himself]" indicates a desire to hold onto personal mementos and memories in the face of change.
The chorus repeats the idea that "these times won't change me now", with an added emphasis on the futility of attempting to alter the singer's identity. In the final verse, the repetition of "change me now" and the addition of supporting vocals convey a sense of empowerment and solidarity in maintaining one's identity.
Overall, "Times Won't Change Me" is a statement of individuality and a call to resist conformity in times of uncertainty.

These guys are so flipping amazing, I can’t find proper words to explain how talented they are. Every song they have produced is something that I’ve never heard before and so unique. These guys deserve more attention. If you know anybody into music, please forward this group to them. It might not suit their fancy but in the end, it’s they’re loss for not noticing them.
