Circle (1): Formed in 1991, Circle is the most visible and prolific name in the Finnish avant-rock underground. Having survived innumerable lineup changes, the band and its founder, bassist/vocalist/guitarist Jussi Lehtisalo (Pharaoh Overlord), have constantly reinvented themselves, weaving hypnotic mantras out of exacting Krautrock beats, heavy riffs, arty noise, dark psychedlia, and soundtrack-like beauty. Hard, chilly repetition has served as the lone unifying theme throughout 15 years of experiments.
Circle (2): Formed in Sydney in 2004 under the name Opanoni and The Raindrops and released the EP 'Stamps and Coins' to both local and international acclaim. The EP was followed up with a fulll length album in 2006 EGBDF after which the band changed their name to Circle. Under the Circle moniker, they have release a full length album 'Just Keep Swimming' an EP in 2009 called Xmas Omas and their Molasses Sandwiches album in 2010. The band has been signed with MGM, Creative Vibes and most recently Monday Records.
Circle (3) was formed in 1970 by Chick Corea, Anthony Braxton, Dave Holland, and Barry Altschul. After one year of existence, Corea left the project to form Return to Forever, and the others went their separate ways. Cirlce left a legacy of live recordings, most notably Paris-Concert.
Circle (4): Comprised Scottish-born Stuart McKie on vocals, Justin Black on guitar, Malcom Bates on bass, and Jason Burec on drums. Their first recording, "World's Delight", was on rooArt's Young Blood 3 compilation in 1991. They released a self-titled EP in 1992. Stuart McKie and Jason Burec later formed Doomfoxx.
Circle (5): The first multinational K-Pop girl group, Circle, debuted in 1998 with members Jihyun, Ayako, Boram, Yuka and Shirayuki/Baixue. In 2000, they disbanded following the release of their second album, Magic Eyes. Only member Jihyun redebuted.
Suddenly
Circle Lyrics

"I need a friend to listen
For it's all gone awry"
The distance was great
But was it too late to reach out,
To help and not deny?
My sadness declined 'til all was
But a vague memory.
The newspaper said
You were found dead and that it
Happened suddenly.
You've won your release
So now rest in peace forever.
Time stands still eternally.
Friends and love ones despair
They were caught unaware, so surely
Forever came suddenly.
Rest in peace my darling, rest in peace
Happiness, all is bliss, happiness.
The song "Suddenly" by Circle is a solemn and sorrowful reflection on the weight and permanence of death. The lyrics describe a past friendship that has faded with distance and time, only to be rekindled in the darkest of moments when one friend reaches out for comfort. The singer of the song is faced with the sobering reality that it was too late for them to help their friend, who was found dead suddenly. The lyrics suggest that the friend may have been struggling with something, but the true cause of their death is left to the listener's imagination.
The theme of mortality is central to the song, as the singer grapples with the sudden loss of their friend. They reflect on the fleeting nature of life and the fact that time continues even after we are gone, as they sing "Time stands still eternally" in the final verse. The mournful tone of the song is reflected in the quiet, simple instrumentation and the repetition of phrases like "rest in peace" and "happiness, all is bliss" at the end of the song.
Overall, "Suddenly" is a poignant reminder of the preciousness of human connection and the need to cherish those we love while they are still with us. It speaks to the pain of grief and the regret that comes from missed opportunities to reach out and help someone in need.
