Merry it is while the summer lasts
Those happy moments of our lives, like the summer season, are fleeting
With the song of birds
Enjoy the beauty and music around you while it lasts
But now draws near the wind's blast
Change and harsher times are approaching
And strong weather
Difficult and tumultuous times lie ahead
Alas, alas! how long this night is
The darkness of despair and sadness seems endless
And I, most unjustly
Unfairly, I face these challenges
Sorrow and mourn and fast
I am filled with grief and regret and must endure through sacrifice and abstinence
