Founded konji by conductor Jiří Bělohlávek in 1994, the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra is best known for its original and re-recordings of popular film scores and soundtracks. The orchestra’s first concert was held on October 28, 1994 in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle, where it participated in the official celebrations marking foundation of the Czech Republic and separation from Slovakia. The first international tour was around Switzerland, held in June 1995.
Over time, the orchestra has performed with many leading international soloists, including Sarah Chang, Kyoko Takezawa, Dmitri Sitkovetski, Raphael Wallfish, Andras Schiff, Ivan Moravec, and Heinrich Schiff. It has also recorded the original scores for several films, including the 2001 film ‘Mulholland Dr.’ and the 2005 version of ‘Oliver Twist’. Today, it regularly broadcasts on Czech television and radio, and continues to have a busy recording schedule with many Czech and several international record labels.

I haven't seen this movie yet. But my friend once brought me a CD with its soundtrack, telling me that this was great music. The movie's soundtrack alone is incredible. And one of the reasons I want to watch the film because of its music. The other reason is because I recognize that the movie itself is very, very good.

I've watched many orchestras play this.
I always enjoy to look at the musicians.
Some are just about the business of doing their part. Which is fine.
But there are also always a few musicians that are feeling it and getting down to the whole thing.... Their joy always makes me happy.

In the U.S.M.C., in the early 2000s, we would play this song to get amped up before battle. This rendition is PERFECT to the original!

Hell yeah. Those were playing Anvil of Crom like they mean it. The rhythm was perfect. The only thing to complain is that sound engineer didn't capture all instruments perfectly balanced, but I still take this performance over a dozen others that didn't get the feeling of the music right.
I'm sure Crom is pleased with their efforts.
