Now did you really miss me?
I guess you did by the look in your eye
(Look in your eye, look in your eye)
Well lay back and relax
While I put away the dishes (put away the dishes)
Then you and me can rock a bell
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
The night is young
And full of possibilities
Well, come on and let yourself be free, yeah
My love for you (love for you, love for you)
So long I've been savin'
Tonight was made for me and you
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ding-dong-ding)
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ring-a-ring-a-ring)
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ding-dong-ding)
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ring-a-ring-a-ring)
You can ring my bell
You can ring my bell
(Ding, dong, ding, ah-ah, ring it)
You can ring my bell, anytime, anywhere
(Ring it, ring it, ring it, ring it, ow)
You can ring my bell, you can ring my bell
(Ding, dong, ding, ah-ah, ring it)
You can ring my bell, anytime, anywhere
(Ring it, ring it, ring it, ring it, ow)
Bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ding-dong-ding)
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ring-a-ring-a-ring)
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
(Ring my bell, ding-dong-ding)
You can ring my bell, ring my bell
This song, "Ring My Bell" by Anita Ward, is a classic disco hit that's all about taking it easy and having a good time with your partner. The lyrics describe a scene where the singer is putting away the dishes while her partner relaxes, and they later decide to "rock a bell" together. This can be interpreted as a reference to having sex, with the "bell" representing a sexual metaphor. The chorus emphasizes this by encouraging her partner to "ring her bell" and express his love for her.
The verses also reference the night being young and full of possibilities, encouraging the listener to let go and be free with their partner. The singer's love for her partner is expressed as something that has been saved up for a long time, and now the night is made for them to enjoy it together. The repetitious chorus is catchy and fun, making it an iconic disco tune.
Overall, "Ring My Bell" is a classic disco hit that embodies the carefree and upbeat nature of the genre. The lyrics are simple and fun, making it an easy song to dance and sing along to.
