One life for yourself, and one for your dreams
You drift through the years and life seems tame
Till one dream appears and love is its name
And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone
This dream is for you, so pay the price
Make one dream come true, you only live twice
And love is a stranger who'll beckon you on
Don't think of the danger or the stranger is gone
This dream is for you, so pay the price
Make one dream come true, you only live twice
The song "You Only Live Twice" by City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra/Nic Raine speaks about the duality of life - one life for the self, and one for the dreams. The lyrics speak of drifting through the years and living a seemingly mundane life until a dream appears, and love, in particular, becomes its name. It speaks of the mysteriousness of love, and how it can sometimes lure you in, even if it may be dangerous. However, the song encourages the listener to pay the price for the dream and make it come true because you only live twice.
The song's chorus echoes the sentiment that love is a stranger who beckons you on, and you shouldn't think of the danger or the stranger is gone, highlighting the importance of taking risks to fulfill your dreams. The lyrics ask the listener to pay the price and make one dream come true because you only get one shot at life.
Overall, the song reminds us that life is short, and we should take the opportunities that come our way, even if they may be risky, because we only live twice.
