Their self-titled 1995 début has been followed by two more studio albums. Each has introduced fresh new sounds and styling, something that has successfully kept them from being pigeon-holed in one genre.
Victoria Lloyd provides consistently powerful, but gentle and ethereal vocals, and haunting and enigmatic lyrics, Ben Fargen's clean and bright guitars, and Chris Ross's lush keyboards all give the band their own distinct and unique style. They are currently signed to Metropolis Records, and released their long-awaited fourth album, Lustre, in September of 2009.
The band seems to be on hiatus since July 2010.

And what I see or what I feel or what I've become
Is still an aching need
And I'm hardly even alive
I'm feeling like a murderous vine
You are my mirror
And I'm on my knees pleading
Oh, don't stop loving me
I can see the changes within me
What I feel or what I need or what I've become
I still feel I'm your slave and I hardly ever lie
I need you like my faith in the divine
You are my mirror
And I'm on my knees bleeding
You are my mirror
Oh, don't stop loving me
You are my mirror
And I'm on my knees pleading
You are my mirror
And you want a hero
It's what I fear
The song "Mirror" by Claire Voyant talks about the relationship between the singer and her lover. The lyrics convey the theme of self-realization and finding one's identity through a committed relationship. The singer is torn between what she sees in herself and what her lover sees through her. The line "In between the truth and what I see or what I feel or what I've become is still an aching need" suggests that the singer is unsure about her self-image and seeks validation from her lover. She describes herself as a "murderous vine," which suggests that her insecurities may be toxic to the relationship.
The chorus "You are my mirror, and I'm on my knees pleading" paints an image of vulnerability and desperation. The line "Oh, don't stop loving me" suggests that the singer fears losing her lover's affection and validation. She sees her lover as a "mirror" that reflects her true self, and losing that reflection would mean losing her sense of identity. The singer confesses that she "still feels like a slave" and "hardly ever lies," which implies that she is still struggling to find her voice and independence in the relationship.
Overall, "Mirror" is a poignant and introspective song about the complexities of love and self-discovery. It explores the dynamic between two people in a committed relationship and the role each one plays in shaping the other's identity.
