Their self-titled 1995 début has been followed by two more studio albums. Each has introduced fresh new sounds and styling, something that has successfully kept them from being pigeon-holed in one genre.
Victoria Lloyd provides consistently powerful, but gentle and ethereal vocals, and haunting and enigmatic lyrics, Ben Fargen's clean and bright guitars, and Chris Ross's lush keyboards all give the band their own distinct and unique style. They are currently signed to Metropolis Records, and released their long-awaited fourth album, Lustre, in September of 2009.
The band seems to be on hiatus since July 2010.
Someday
Claire Voyant Lyrics

Let your mind tell you the words
Stay within the river I have loved
With my own sense of good
And I write you once or twice
With an eye like a firefly
Taste the cooler water
Breathe the air
We will take on any problem in the world
If our own are understood
And I write you in more than blood
And I hope that you see
I know that someday
In your eyes I see someday
In your words I am reminded
In your eyes I see someday
we will pray through all the weather
To tame the world for all life knows good
I will save you from the wicked
I will take the world in my arms
My own sense of the word
And I write you only lies
Can you see they are my disguise
I know that someday
In your eyes I see someday
In your words I am reminded
In your eyes I see someday
The lyrics in Claire Voyant's song Someday seem to be a message of hope, love, and understanding. The opening lines, "Taking in the rhythm of the world, let your mind tell you the words," suggests that the singer is asking the listener to be attuned to the world around them, to hear its rhythm, and to let it inspire their thoughts and feelings. The next line, "Stay within the river I have loved with my own sense of good," implies that the singer has found their own way in the world, a way that brings them joy and fulfillment, and they are inviting the listener to join them in this experience.
Throughout the song, the singer emphasizes the importance of communication and understanding between people. They write to the listener "once or twice," hoping that their words will be heard and understood. Later, they talk about "pray[ing] through all the weather to tame the world for all life knows good," suggesting that the challenges of the world can be overcome if people work together and listen to each other. The singer also emphasizes their desire to protect the listener, saying, "I will save you from the wicked, I will take the world in my arms," showcasing their love and devotion.
