Overall Meaning

The song "Song of Kings" by Clamavi De Profundis is a hymn of praise and worship directed towards God. The Latin lyrics express the greatness and majesty of God, and the singer's devotion to Him. The opening lines "Deus Maiestatis, intonuit" can be translated to "The God of Majesty hath thundered" which further emphasizes the power and authority of God.

The lyrics call upon listeners to bring glory to God's name and to praise Him. The repetition of the phrases "Rex meus et Deus" ("My King and my God") emphasizes the personal relationship between the singer and God, and the importance of God in their life. The lyrics also ask God to hear their prayers and to turn away His anger.

The song also includes a reference to Mary, the Queen of Heaven, asking for her intercession and addressing her as "Salve Regina mea" ("Hail, O my Queen"). Finally, the song ends with an invitation to praise and worship God, inviting listeners to see and come to their King.

This must be the thousandth time I've come back to watch this video and I just wanted to say, to everyone who is part of this channel and makes this glorious music, thank you so so much. I was baptized and raised Catholic, but my family stopped going to church when I was around 11 or 12. I'm not sure why we stopped going, but all I know is that most of my family, especially my siblings, are all atheists now. I'm 19 now, and in those 7 or 8 years I lost basically all my faith and had been calling myself an atheist too, although looking back I guess I always had a little part of me that still held onto my faith. But then I discovered your channel, and listening to this song in particular, along with Lux Vitae, it just stirred something in my mind that pushed me to try and reconnect with God and with my Catholic upbringing. I started praying the rosary again a few weeks ago, I've been trying to relearn the things I learned in Bible study that I've forgotten, and I'm talking with the Catholic church on my college campus to see if there's a way I can do my Confirmation and begin attending Mass again. It's been hard, I've been holding in a lot of guilt since I haven't been to Mass or confession in at least 7 years, but every time I feel down I come listen to this music and it lifts my spirits immeasurably. So again, thank you so so much for sharing your talents with the world. It helps more than you could ever imagine. May God bless you all, for all the hard work you put into this channel.

Thank you very much for your comment! It is comments like this that make all the effort of creating our music worth while! We are happy to hear that you are making progress in the Faith and will pray for you. Don't lose hope in God's infinite love and mercy! We are all damaged creatures in need of His grace and assistance. While there are many trials in this life, it is more than worth the effort to work towards being truly good, like Him. May God bless you!

Blessings and heartfelt prayers to you. God speaks to us in many ways. I pray you’ve made your journey home.

@sagittarius1343

Thanks for sharing your story! God is the Father of mercy and His Catholic Church always has her arms open to receive back her wandering children. Be sure to investigate the Traditional Catholic Church; and be sure to pray your Rosary every day. If you do, I know the Blessed Virgin Mary will guide you to the right path. I send a prayer and blessing your way.

One thing I love about y'all Catholics; you haven't lost your grip on creating good art. It's something many Christians have forgotten.

@rathalos4783

that's called the sense of the sacred, you should honestly reunite with the Church as the protestant position is simply unvalid...

@janette2422

Again...as a Traditional Catholic every time you guys come out with an original composition it makes me want to cry in its beauty and its true reverence. May the Queen of Heaven always watch over you and bless your work that glorifies her Son and gives her such honor.

Tears of children is what sustains the Catholic Church
