Don If it's love that you're running from, there's no hiding…
Don't Brag Don't Boast Don't you brag, and don't you boast Grief comes to those…
Don't Brag, Don't Boast Don't you brag, and don't you boast Grief comes to those…
Kingston Town The night seems to fade, But the moonlight lingers on Ther…

My dad(RIP) loved this track, we didn't really know the words, but he used to laugh his head off when we repeated what we thought we heard

The first reggae album I ever saw....then I bought No 1, 3 & 4. Paul Gardiner from t Tottenham Crew introduced me to it and Ska, along with other lads from various areas in working class London who were staying temporarily at a boarding school called Stinsford School in Dorchester, Dorset. I met my first black and Chinese friends from that school too. They were FAB! Very enjoyable and great learning experience for me - we were ordinary fashion skinheads, but cutting edge finger on the pulse skins, in those days - none in sleepy Dorset - it was 1969 and 1970. I remember being laughed at in 1971 / 2 at the youth club - my sister was also a full blown skin girl. I lived in Tottenham for 10 years in later years, but sadly never met my old pal Paul, but did meet a friend in Island Records in Seven Sisters who was still there from the 70s, but a Rasta in the 90s.He said he remembered me - they thought I was Italian or Spanish, even though I came from the West Country!

@DONDIEGOREGGAE

It’s fantastic that some from the early Skinhead years survived. A lot changed in 2nd wave in the 80s and 90s when skinhead became more Punk. Early Reggae was almost forgotten. Nowadays the 68/69 class got an revival with all the great and smart clothes and reggae.

Wow I remember those days I was bought up in North London, we actually raved with skinheads, youngsters would be surprised to know that 😊
