Little Wing
Clapton Santana & Hendrix Lyrics

With a circus mind
That's running wild
Butterflies and zebras and moonbeams
And-a fairly tales
That's all she ever thinks about
When I'm sad she comes to me
With a thousand smiles
She gives to me free
"It's alright", she says
It's alright
Take anything you want from me
(Take anything)
Anything
Fly on, little wing
The lyrics to "Little Wing" by Clapton Santana & Hendrix convey a sense of imagination and beauty in the form of a woman who appears to be free-spirited and carefree. She is described as walking through the clouds with a circus mind that's running wild, surrounded by butterflies, zebras, and moonbeams. She is always thinking about fairy tales, which indicates a sense of wonder and imagination. The lines "riding with the wind" and "fly on, little wing" further highlight the theme of freedom and escapism.
Furthermore, the lyrics also suggest a sense of comfort and solace that the woman provides. When the singer is sad, she comes to him with a thousand smiles and gives him the support he needs. This is exemplified in the lines "it's alright, she says, it's alright" and "take anything you want from me, anything." Thus, the song portrays a sense of escapism, imagination, and comfort, all wrapped up in the form of a free-spirited woman.

It is really nice to hear two quitar legends playing together a Jimi Hendrix 's most beautiful song
@ruthie5856
With the slower tempo, these two have given this wonderful song a gravitas that it so richly deserves, and then they've embellished it - each in his own way. It is just delicious and delightful, and it just makes me melt:-)

Reminds me of the slower version on Derek and the domino's double lp. On that lp,l always thought it was meant to be a little sad, and from Erics, feelings going on at the time of the recording. These 2,santana and e,c., you really can't ask for much more. Thank you for this.
