ClariS (クラリス) is a Japanese pop music idol unit from Hokkaido, Japan which formed in 2009. Formerly a female duo consisting of high school students Alice (アリス) and Clara (クララ), Alice left the unit in 2014 who then will be succeeded by Karen (カレン). They started as Nico Nico singers under the name of アリス☆クララ (Alice☆Clara), where they began singing covers of anime songs and songs originally sung by Vocaloids. These cover songs were submitted to the Nico Nico Douga video sharing website from Oct 2009~Jun 2010.
In Sep 2010, ClariS was signed to SME Records and released their debut single "irony" (Oreimo TV anime OP) in Oct 2010.
Since then, ClariS has released 7 more singles in 2011~2013, which were used as the Madoka☆Magica OP, Nisemonogatari ED, 2nd Oreimo PSP game OP, Oreimo light novel vol.9 song, Moyashimon Returns OP, Oreimo. OP, and the Madoka☆Magica Movie trilogy OP. ClariS will release their 10th single, "STEP", on 2014/04/16, which will be used as the Nisekoi 2nd OP. They released their debut album, "BIRTHDAY", in Apr 2012, and their 2nd album, "SECOND STORY", in Jun 2013. third album Party Time to be released in June 2014 will mark Alice's last contribution to ClariS.

ClariS's song "Reunion" is a song about reconnecting with someone from the past after a long time. The opening line says, "A story will begin with you again." The singer remembers running towards a sparkling shadow and can't forget it. She reveals that she had developed her own idea of what the future held without realizing that she was missing the bigger picture. She acknowledges that her thoughts are sometimes heavy and transparent; however, she wants to melt them little by little.
The singer wants to hold hands with the person from the past again and dream together. Although they are injured, they are prepared to start anew. They want to voice out their opinions and laugh together again. They want to produce the future which was still in its bud yesterday near each other. The singer understands that they both have walked along the same path, and while the other person may have forgotten about those days, she cherishes them. She wants to gather up all those hazy past days and tied them together. The singer realizes that waiting alone is not enough, and she is determined to make her own independent voice heard. Lastly, she expresses her desire to look forward to the future and walk with that person again toward it hand-in-hand.
Perhaps this song is about how people neglect themselves and lose touch with their true selves while moving forward with their lives. By reconnecting with someone from the past, they might remember the good times and start working on rebuilding their inner selves.
