Every morning before it opened, I would sing to the 2 rhinos. They only responded when I sang classical music, never rock, rap, pop etc., only opera and stuff like that.

Never in my entire life has a video moved me like this one. In fact there have been remarkably few things in my life that have hit me so poignantly. It feels like love in every motion, tenderness in every pause. This is humanity’s triumph, singular. No technological marvel or further moment could compare to this complete masterpiece of cinema and audio.
I feel I need to say it again: NOTHING in my life has ever equates to this video. I have never felt such raw love, such wonder, such GUTTURAL and PRIMAL WARMTH, from anything. I have been unable to stop crying from wonder for the past 15 minutes.

Long, daily walks in nature help immensely. Animals are grateful for us walking too... how about learning an instrument, baking for local shelters, volunteering for animal rescues, drawing, biking, visiting your local library for free activities, writing poems for animals and sharing them at a local open-mic or if you rite a poem for elephants, share it online and/or send it to this elephant sanctuary. There is so much you can do to lift your spirits ... firstly, no TV watching at all or junk food; think, instead of this elephant being in nature, free, enjoying a clean diet, and Paul Barton playing for him. Is this incredible? Why have so many responded? It touches us all. Cheers.

This piece was played at my sister-in-laws Celebration of Life. Her brother, my brother-in-law selected it. Debussy wrote many songs that I feel stimulate both emotion and imagination. Clair de Lune is often heard at services for someone’s passing and may included the addition of harp and strings. For me as I listen I feel it softly captures the ebb and flow and the joys and sorrows of a life.

I can't say I'm an expert regarding music or animals; but what it looked like is: She seemed to very much like the consonant parts of the song (her ears were wagging back and forth through those); not to say she didn't like more dissonant parts. But, I suppose, like humans, we all like those parts that mesh well, or give us that feeling of resolution, and it certainly seems that she did too! When you are close to an elephant, you feel that you can hear its thoughts. Just like telepathy. It's phenomenal. Elephants have so much depth in them and so do classical musician. It's almost a spiritual meeting of two souls.

As should every encounter should be. We humans are in the billions whilst these animals number in the thousands perhaps hundreds. It is indeed a meeting of two souls but it inherently more special because it's not as if you could walk outside and meet an elephant alost instantly. These animals are protected. And rightly so, anyone who sows the evil seeds of karma will surely be the hand that also wipes themselves out. Karma will always get you in the end.

But I digress, I say that elephants are unique and special. And it was a wonderful treat to see this video. I really could feel the emotions the elephant was conveying. If aliens have been studying us I'd really hope they take into consideration just how wonderful humans can be. Not every one of us is the same......

These elephants were all terribly abused and the handlers didn’t want the pianist getting too close as they were known to be dangerous. There is a YouTube video about it. The pianist insisted anyway. Intelligent AND capable of appreciating beauty and kindness all the same...🙏🙏🙏

I have seen this video so many times. But every time I see it, it makes me smile so much. This man is truly a blessing to all elephants. The peace and the elephant's face was very very evident.
