This isn't like other waltzes out there. Pieces like Blue Danube and Tales from the Vienna Woods give big, grand ballroom vibes, but this one. This one is just like you and your beloved dancing in a dark, cold attic with the music on a gramophone.
spoiledeggnog
one of my favorite debussy pieces. so underrated as well

Is anyone even watching this video, cuz i think those 900k views are all mine. God bless Debussy, this valse is just pure magical.
I've known this piece for only a couple of days and it's already become one of my most favorites.
Laurence Gray
I learned this piece many years ago when I heard my mother playing it. She was a music teacher and she did teach me how to play the piano when I was six.
Katja Pevzner
Nice, i stard whit 3/4 years

God I love that piece. Gotta learn it someday. But I wanna do Suite Bergamasque first!
Felix
@Sir Choppy Well I already learned Claire the Lune a while back and now I wanna do the rest! Also your comment feels a little passive-aggressive, is there something wrong with people that only learn Claire de Lune and not the rest?
I mean it's a nice piece after all
Sir Choppy
@Felix I see, so you're one of those people that only care about Clair de lune? Or are you going to learn the whole damn thing.
Noah Gilbertson
@Felix i think clair de lune is easier than this but all the rest of suite bergamasque is harder especially the killer finale
Felix
@AD11 AD11 Oh yeah, true that! I can already play one piece of the suite though: Claire de Lune.
But tbh I might do the valse first, who knows. My teacher wants me to play some other classical stuff first anyways.
