amor no tengas miedo. (bis)
Mira el paisaje, comtempla el cielo
la luz radiante de aquel lucero. (bis)
y tu accediste senciblemente a quedarte allí,
(bis)
The song "Río Badillo" by Claudia de Colombia portrays an idyllic love story that took place by the banks of the river Badillo. The singer talks about how the river witnessed their love and how the sand carries the reflection of the couple's great passion. They shared happy moments, and in front of the river, they made vows to love each other with great passion. The night falls, and the couple is alone, being surrounded by the stars' shine and the moon's glow that appears from behind the hills. The singer asks their beloved not to be afraid, and to admire the radiant light of the twinkling star.
The river's water seems to be singing, diverting their attention and playing with them, revealing that the singer suffers when their love is sad. The water's song states that the night is full of charm, and it creates life in love. The river convinces the beloved to stay, and that night becomes one of the most unforgettable and cherished to the singer. They were gentle and said yes to the beloved. The dawn approaches, and the birds serenade the sunrise, the sun's rays enter the hills, and the country people sing their songs. The turpial (a bird found in Colombia) is busy building its nest, and the butterflies play by the river's edge.
The singer concludes the song with a promise to their beloved to always reconcile their disputes by the river Badillo.
