They married on Christmas Day 1961 and had three children, Noelle, Christian and Robert. In 1968, she appeared in "The Party" with Peter Sellers and sang "Nothing to Lose" by Henry Mancini. Longet has never performed again after the criminal trial, and the Sabich family initiated civil proceedings to sue Longet. The case was eventually settled out of court for a large monetary settlement, with the proviso that Longet never tell or write about her story. They also demanded that Claudine withdraw from public circulation her recording of "Bang Bang, My Baby Shot Me Down."

Talk about things you'd love to do
You've got to have a dream
If you don't have a dream
How ya gonna have a dream come true?
Talk about a moon floating in the skyLooking like a lily on a lake
Talk about a bird learning how to fly
Making all the music he can make
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk
Talk about things you'd love to do
You've got to have a dream
If you don't have a dream
How ya gonna have a dream come true?
Talk about a star lookin' like a toy
Peeking through the branches of a tree
Talk about a girl, talk about a boy
Counting all the ripples on the sea
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk
Talk about things you'd like to do
You've got to have a dream
If you don't have a dream
How you gonna have a dream come true?
Happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk
Talk about things you'd like to do
You've got to have a dream
If you don't have a dream
How you gonna have a dream?
How you gonna have a dream?
How you gonna have a dream come true?
In Claudine Longet's song "Happy Talk," the lyrics explore the power of positive thinking and the importance of having dreams. The repeated phrase "happy talk, keep talkin' happy talk" encourages the listener to maintain a positive outlook and engage in uplifting conversations. The song suggests that by talking about the things one loves to do and dreaming about them, one can make those dreams come true.
The lyrics emphasize the role of dreams in shaping our reality. Longet sings, "You've got to have a dream, if you don't have a dream, how ya gonna have a dream come true?" This line underscores the idea that dreams provide the foundation for achieving our desires. By nurturing aspirations and speaking about them, we can manifest our dreams into reality.
The song also incorporates imagery to illustrate the power of positive talk. The moon floating in the sky, resembling a lily on a lake, and the bird learning how to fly and making music depict the beauty and joy that can be found in pursuing our dreams. Similarly, the star peeking through the branches of a tree and the ripples on the sea symbolize the wonders of the world that can be embraced and appreciated through positive conversation.
