Claudio Valenzuela, the unmistakable voice of Lucybell, has launched himself as a solo artist upon the international music scene. Claudio’s first solo record, an album titled simply, “GEMINI”, offers eleven songs conceived, composed and created in English and Spanish, that speak of love, life and death, with lyrics that reveal different scenarios and soundscapes and explore a musical journey that travels from acoustic to rock, and many other places in between.
The album, available through Accidental Muzik, Inc, is co-produced and engineered by Adam Moseley, whose credits include two very successful albums with Lucybell, “Lumina” and “Comiendo Fuego”.
“GEMINI” is truly a labour of love that shows Claudio’s dedication to establish a personal sound and expression as a solo and bilingual artist. Many musical influences are reflected in the unforgettable vocal melodies and dynamic musical arrangements that demonstrate the singer and songwriter’s artistic range, versatility and depth of spirit as he steps out as a solo artist. And of course, Claudio also continues to perform with Lucybell, the hugely successful Chilean band that he has fronted for more than16 years and achieved huge acclaim and many devoted fans throughout Latin America, Mexico and the US.
In making “GEMINI”, Valenzuela explains that “this album represents an intimate personal journey and demonstrates what I can do musically, especially given that, with the exception of only a couple of instruments, I played everything myself”. The album came to life during a three year period while Claudio traveled and lived in Los Angeles, Mexico City and Santiago de Chile.
“For me”, explains the Chilean artist – “this has been a great challenge given that I have always worked with my band mates from Lucybell. Making “GEMINI” has allowed me to explore and delve deep inside myself, developing over the course of time all the possible sounds and different atmospheres to truly represent the purpose and emotion of each song and its story”
“La Aguja En Tu Ropa” is the first single, released with a beautiful and imaginative video that portrays the complexity and visual interpretation of Claudio’s poetic lyrics and imagery.
Until now, Claudio Valenzuela is most known as the voice and guitar of the group Lucybell, a group that not only has achieved superstar status in Chile, but has also firmly established itself in other countries across the continent, especially Mexico, which has become a second home for the rock trio.
Today, with his first solo project, Valenzuela will offer his national and international audiences a work written in three different countries, performed in two languages, which explores a broad range of ideas and emotions through different musical styles; an album that is already receiving rave reviews from his many devoted fans and followers.

Claudio Valenzuela, la voz insigne de Lucybell, se ha lanzado como artista solista en la escena musical internacional. El primer disco solista de Claudio, titulado simplemente “Gemini” esta conformado por once canciones, todas compuestas e interpretadas en ingles y español. las que nos hablan de amor, vida y muerte. Las letras destacan las diferentes sonoridades que explora este trabajo musical el que deambula desde lo acústico hasta lo rockero.
“Gemini”, disponible por Accidental Muzik, Inc. fue producido, grabado y mezclado por Claudio y Adam Moseley, cuyos créditos incluyen The Cure, Rush, Roxette, Kiss Y Nikka Costa, entre otras, y tambien dos exitosos discos con Lucybell, “Lumina” y “Comiendo Fuego”.
“Gemini” es un labor de amor que muestra la dedicación de Claudio a establecer un sonido y expresión personal como una artista solista y bilingue. Muchas influencias musicales se ven reflejadas en las inolvidables melodías y arreglos dinámicos que muestran el rango artístico, versatilidad y profundidad de espíritu de Claudio mientras se lanza como artista solista. Claudio sigue tocando con Lucybell, la enormemente exitosa banda Chilena de la cual ha actuado como vocalista hace mas de 16 años. En cuanto a la creación de “Gemini” Valenzuela dice que “este disco representa un viaje intimo en lo que puedo hacer musicalmente, en especial dado que exceptuando un par de instrumentos, todo lo interprete yo mismo”.
El disco nacio durante un periodo de tres anos en los cuales Claudio viajo y vivio en Los Angeles, Mexico City y Santiago de Chile.
“Para mi”, explica el artista chileno, “esto ha sido un gran desafío ya que siempre he estado trabajando con mis compañeros de Lucybell, y hacer “Gemini” me ha permitido escarbar dentro mío desarrollando con todo el tiempo posible sonidos y atmósferas diferentes para cada canción”.
“La Aguja En Tu Ropa” es el primer sencillo, lanzado con un bello e imaginativo video que retrata la complejidad y la interpretación visual de las letras e imágenes poéticas de Claudio. El video esta disponible en youtube y también en las paginas de internet mencionadas al final del articulo.
Claudio Valenzuela es un músico, cantante, productor musical e ingeniero de sonido, conocido como la voz y guitarra de Lucybell, un grupo que ha logrado un estatus de superstar en Chile, y tambien se ha establecido firmemente en otros paises por todo el continente, especialmente en México, el cual ya es como una segunda casa para el trio de rock.

Claudio estudio Ingenieria de Sonido en la Universidad de Chile (Santiago) donde empezó a tocar con Eduardo Caces en una banda llamada “La Maquina”. Sin embargo, fue en el año 1991 donde se estableció su futuro en el mundo de la música. Ese año ayudó a formar “Lucybell” una banda que hasta ahora ha sacado 8 discos de estudio exitosos internacionalmente y se ha ido transformando, manteniendose al frente de la música e industria de medios por toda Latinoamerica y los EEUU.
