I've been listening to Claus since the late 70's and have a huge collection of his work
in my arsenal. Having said that, I've come to realize, and please correct me if i'm wrong,
but Claus always brought_out the best in all the musicians that featured on his albums.
Needless to say, Robben Ford And Jan Akkerman are the perfect examples to that effect,
and since then I have not heard a better performance of either of them.
I can easily mention Oscar Peterson's "Motions And Emotions" album, George Benson's
"Breezin", Joao Gilberto's "Amoroso" and the list goes on and on.
"RIP" Maestro Ogerman. You will be dearly missed.

Kash a Note the Album Amoroso João Gilberto was rated in the Netherlands in 2000 as the best album of the 20 th century on the easy listening channel because mainly of the arrangements from Claus Ogerman I have the LP still 😉

He was alongside Quincy Jones my father's favorite arranger. What he did with Jobim in Matita Peré was beyond our understanding of harmony. What a genius!
