So they won't forget who you are
And it's all because of me my friend
And2 they won't forget who you are
Oh, how soft we are
(oh, how soft we are)
Oh, how soft we are
You're shaking all your love away
So they won't forget who you really are
Maybe in a little, I'll see you tomorrow,
It's all that's good and said3, so let's go
All the life I knew before is good
Trust me I swear I will never let you down
(and I said) Trust me I swear I will never let you down
You're shaking all your fears away
So they won't regret who you really are.
So maybe in a little, I'll see you tomorrow,
It's all that's good and said, so let's go
All the life I knew is good
Trust me I swear I will never let you down
(oh how soft we are, oh how soft we are)
(and I said) Trust me I swear I will never let you down
(oh how soft we are, oh how soft we are)
Then when the light comes without a glow
Then when the fear went away
Then when the light
Giving into softly and sorrows
You can be the one who brings me to go
I can look softly between your eyes
I can be the one who knows your games
Only for this life's cut bandage
I can't be put to sleep without it
I know you won't forget me tomorrow
'Cause I am not this world uncovered
You are not this dream, discovered
I will not be the one to hold your pain
'Cause I am not this world you hoped for
I don't want this dream you wanted
I will not be the one to hold your pain
(It's in your eyes)
(oh how soft we soft we are)
In "Trust Me", Cleavage is speaking to someone who has been shaken by their fears and is trying to escape their true self. The singer is assuring the person that they are responsible for helping to move them out of that state of mind and that they will not forget who the person truly is. The repetition of "oh how soft we are" throughout the song emphasizes the vulnerability of the singer and the person they are reaching out to. The chorus is a promise to never let the person down and to always be there for them.
The lyrics suggest that the singer has a deep understanding of the person's struggles and is able to see through their facade. The line "You're shaking all your love away so they won't forget who you really are" implies that the person is pushing others away in order to maintain a certain image, but the singer is aware of their true nature. The lyrics also suggest that the person may be suffering from depression or anxiety, as they are trying to escape their fears and are in need of comfort and support.
Overall, "Trust Me" is a song about the importance of being there for someone who is struggling, even when it may be difficult or uncomfortable. The lyrics convey a sense of empathy and understanding, as well as a willingness to help lift someone up when they are feeling low.
