1.) A four piece from Philadelphia, Cleric's music mixes elements of grindcore, avant garde composition, doom and... something else entirely? Influenced by other metal pioneers such as Meshuggah, Converge, Fantômas, and Neurosis, their music zeroes in on a level of brutality and experimentation that a single band rarely maintains even for a few seconds. In their six years since inception, Cleric has released a number of EPs and a 12" picture disk through Sound Devastation Records (UK), all of which (for their very high quality and unique & intricate sounds and artwork) have garnered praise and die-hard underground accolade. Having been around awhile, and taken a lot of shit & not given up & built themselves up internally to handle whatever bullshit this world flings their way, this band is just beginning its walk down their shining path.

Cleric Lyrics

but you don't like what you see.
you should see it clearer,
should think this is who you need to be.
you don't know that you're perfect,
just like you are
believe in yourself and no it won't leave a scar
so keep going, just in your way.
I felt this way too,
I know you feel sometimes blue,
I promise you'll realize it someday,
that's not gonna be easy.
but you're the superstar.
you perfect just like you are yeah.
I looked in the mirror,
and didn't like what I see
I could see it clearer,
could think this is who I need to be.
I know I know that I'm flawless, just as I am.
and I know I know that I'm not ashamed.
whenever you don't have something to say.
keep going, just in your way.
I felt this way too,
I know you feel sometimes blue,
I promise you'll realize it someday,
that's not gonna be easy.
like you're supposed to.
you perfect just like you are yeah.
there's no right and wrong.
stay on your path and be strong.
there's no right and wrong.
stay on your path and be strong.
I felt this way too,
I know you feel sometimes blue,
I promise you'll realize it someday,
that's not gonna be easy.
but you're the superstar.
we perfect just like we are.
I felt this way too...
The lyrics of Cleric's song [untitled] convey a message of self-love and self-acceptance. The song talks about how we often feel inadequate and insecure while looking at ourselves in the mirror, but we need to see ourselves more clearly and accept ourselves as we are. The singer reminds us that we are perfect just the way we are, and we should believe in ourselves and not let anyone else's opinion affect us. The message is to keep going and stay on our path, even if others criticize us, because there is no right or wrong way to be ourselves.
The song speaks to a universal experience of feeling insecure and inadequate. The lyrics can be seen as an anthem for self-love and acceptance. The repetition of the line "you perfect just like you are" emphasizes the importance of self-love in our lives. The song also acknowledges that self-love is not always easy and that it can take time to realize our self-worth.

I have a Drow Feylost Death Domain Cleric and she honors the Raven Queen. Additionally, she isn't a "Support Role/Healer" Type. She will heal at times of absolutely necessary, BUT she is primarily a Range-ish Nuker type!
DEATH DOMAIN IS STRONGER THEN GRAVE DOMAIN, ALL HAIL CLOUDKILL & VAMPIRIC TOUCH!!!

Um... you forgot to add your link for Wyrmwood. Just pointing it out. 🙂

@Rick Moreno I'll get to them and I haven't forgotten! I am very busy and I do not want for other twists to be delayed. They'll be out when they are out and I'll let everyone know when that happens :)

in the immortal words of Jocat:
“Seriously, with how versatile and independently strong you can build a cleric, you can make a party of purely priests, call it the A-men, and burst down Tiamat’s door, demanding her lunch money. And she would just build her toilet to give herself swirlies so she wouldn’t have to endure the kind of bullying you were about to give her.”
Sephikong
Cleric is one of the few classes with Paladin and maybe Warlock where you can realistically have a full party made from entirely variations of this class and it would still kind of mechanically function (though I'll say that none is as broken as a party made 100% of Rogue in a social/mystery centric campaign, like holy shit do half of these subclasses force you to consider very carefully or else they will break the campaign, so imagine having both Sherlock Holmes, Agent 47, Inspector Gadget and a ghost whisperer walk into your intrigue)
killian1208
@Sephikong Artificer is also a wild card in versatility: Tank? sure Martial? betcha. Ranged martial? of course. Ranged magic? pew pewpew pew. Suboptimal support subclass that will be mostly useless? Yes of course. Every single artificer subclass is just it's own class...

@killian1208
For a moment there I though you were going to say "Yes of course. Every Artificer subclass is a suboptimal healer."
