New phone, so only just seen your reply when I was under "Mad Vinny", so my apology in responding
WDTA remains his biggest seller, and Pete Waterman described it as the greatest structurally formed pure pop record ever, which is a great endorsement of your choice.
"Lean On You" is so cool, Cliff in his late 40s and at his absolute peak.
I have to say,...respectfully,.... that I am astounded you rate Wired For Sound so highly. That really threw me.
His greatest ever vocal delivery, control, breathing, pronounciation, etc, for me at least, is "Had To Be", a duet with Olivia and a wonderful video to add icing to the cake.
I simply cant stop playing, (six months solid now), the I'M NO HERO album, (the CD 2002 version).
For a title track (and a good one at that), to struggle to be in the top six tracks clearly demonstrates why INH is his greatest pop album, albeit Cliff prefers R&RJuvenile.
The problem we have, Guy, is that we are spoilt for choice when it comes to Cliff, but WFSound has definitely raised my eyebrows, I have to say!!!! 😄😄😄.
