Power to All Our Friends
Cliff Richard Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Power to all our friends
To the music that never ends
To the people we want to be
Baby, power to you and me

There's one old man
Spent his life growing flowers
Caring for the bees
Power to the bees

There's one old lady
Spent her days making wine
The wine tasted fine
Power to the vine

Power to the boys who played rock 'n' roll
And made my life so sweet
And to the girls I knew before
And those I've yet to meet

Power to all our friends
To the music that never ends
To the people we want to be
Baby, power to you and me

There's one strong man
Ploughing in the valley
He's living off the land
Power to the land

There's some young girl
Laying down in Monte Carlo
Laying in the sun
Power to the sun

Power to the boys who played rock 'n' roll
And made my life so sweet
And to the girls I knew before
And those I've yet to meet

Power to all our friends
To the music that never ends
To the people we want to be
Baby, power to you and me

Power to the boys who played rock 'n' roll
And made my life so sweet
And to the girls I knew before
And those I've yet to meet

Power to all our friends
To the music that never ends
To the people we want to be
Baby, power to you and me

To the music that never ends
Baby, power to all our friends

@Copolia

I was born in the 70s and I grew up with this kind of music. I wish music still had this innocence.

Funny how you never forget lyrics.

@AnnaJuist

God I miss the days of this type of music.🎵❤️ I was a teenage girl in the 60's and danced to these types of songs well into the 70's.💕 (What a happier times they were) Thanks to YouTube, I can at least revisit on a daily bases. Especially now that we are all on lock down due to the Coronavirus. I just watch & listen to these music videos...And I also watch old/classic movies. I hardly watch any television now. All they report is Doom & Gloom. 😕 I do not understand why they can not report on how many people have overcome the virus...instead of how many positive tests & deaths. They should give us Hope. 🥰 Peace & Love to all of you 💑
