The song "De Casa" by Clinton Fearon is a love letter to Brazil where the singer expresses his deep fondness for the country despite being away from his true home. The repetitive lyric "Um lar longe de casa" which means "a home away from home" in English, is the central theme of the song that conveys the message that though he is far from his roots, he feels at home in Brazil. The verses mention various cities in Brazil including Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Belem, and Bahia, highlighting the diversity of the country. The singer wakes up in the morning to the warmth of the day and the sweetness of the local produce such as coconut water and sugarcane. The chorus repeats the phrase "home away from home" over and over again, emphasizing that despite being physically far from home, one can still find a sense of belonging in a foreign land.
