Atmosphere Strut
Cloud One Lyrics

A Set Of Rules For The Majority
They'll Roll You Off The Assembly Line
Stamp You Number Fifty-Nine
We're One One In The Same One In The Same As You
One In The Same The Same As You
We're One One In The Same One In The Same As You
One In The Same The Same As You
Join The Ranks With Your College Degree
Success Isn't All It's Said To Be
Your Worth Makes Up Our Inequality
Who Said A Roof Aint Good Enough
Open Up Your Eyes Call Their Bluff
When You're Gone And In Your Plot
They're Lining Up To Take Your Spot
We're One One In The Same One In The Same As You
One In The Same The Same As You
We're One One In The Same One In The Same As You
One In The Same The Same As You
The lyrics to Cloud One's song "Atmosphere Strut" paint a picture of a society that values conformity and assimilation over individuality and creativity. The first verse suggests that there is a set of rules that the majority must follow in order to succeed, and that those who deviate or resist will be stamped as a number and pushed off the assembly line. This can be interpreted as a critique of the education system and corporate culture that prioritize obedience and uniformity over innovation and independent thinking.
The second verse challenges the notion that success is the ultimate goal, and that a college degree is the only path to achieve it. The line "your worth makes up our inequality" suggests that the pursuit of success is often at the expense of others, perpetuating a system of social and economic hierarchy. The third verse encourages listeners to question the status quo and challenge the notion that material possessions and societal status are the key to happiness and fulfillment. In the end, the lyrics assert that we are all one and the same, regardless of our position or status in society.
Overall, "Atmosphere Strut" can be seen as a call to action to reject the pressures of conformity and strive for individuality and self-expression, even in the face of societal norms and expectations.

I heard this song for the first time at a roller skate party, and now I use this song to signify the end of class for my 7th grade math students. They know when they hear this song, it's time to GO! So many students have come up with their own dance to it, and I had a group of students who were so impressed with this song, they used it in their science podcast project! This song gets the people HYPE, even the KIDS!!!!
