In 2002 Clueso moves back to Erfurt and records the Rowdy-Club-Tape 2002. Another year later he starts producing his second album "Gute Musik" (featuring Blumentopf, Steer M, Tilmann Jarmer, Delhia, Tim Neuhaus and Jürgen Kerth), which was be finished by 2004. It does not contain any English tracks and concentrates on singing rather than rapping. In 2005 Clueso represented Thuringia with the song "Kein Bock zu geh'n" at the Bundesvision Song Contest. The same year he was partner of Start Ab, the 'biggest non-commercial remix contest in Europe'.

In 2006 Clueso released his third album called "Weit Weg" which means "far away". Again the album was relased by Four Music. The album is changing mood and style contiuously. It varies between influences of chilled pop, soul, funk and reggae.
Over the last two years Clueso toured with his band. They played over 120 club and festival gigs with a total crowd of 300,000.
On the album Clueso joined forces with the likes of Max Herre (former lead singer of Freundeskreis), Flowin'Immo, New Telephatics and Razkajam.
Ralf C. Mayer who also had produced "Gute Musik", the forerunner of the current album, and artists like Xavier Naidoo and Die Fantastischen Vier helped Clueso to find his sound, from sounds of whisper to grolling bitter thunder.
Clueso is truly one of the future stars in Germany as he is focused, talented and lucky enough to find a channel for his passion.

Geisterstadt
Clueso Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Wo einst das Leben tobte
Stehn Schilder ohne Namen wie
Ein Duft ohne Note
Aus Gräben ragen Kräne
Ein Fähnchen weht dort oben
Und winkt aus gold'nen Zeiten
Als hier noch jemand wohnte
Verdampft ein wenig Leben
Der Rest bleibt eingesperrt wie
Wünsche aus dieser Gegend
Hochhäuser häng' im Himmel
Als starre, dicke Fäden
Dreck unter meinen Füßen
Verschwindet mit dem Leben
Ich weiss nicht wo ich bin
Lauf durch die Straßen
Was ist hier gewesen?
Die Geisterstadt beginnt
Hier tief im Osten
Wo ist alles Leben?
Manch leere Wohnung versteckt
Hinter nem kleinen Vorhang
Die Tür steht hier noch offen
Als ob Jemand gleich zurück kommt
Kein Fenster eingeschmissen
Alles so unversehrt
Eine Bank mit eingeritzten
Sprüchen in einem Herz
Und an der Haltestelle
Der Fahrplan längst vergilbt
Parkplätze ohne Ende
Die große Uhr steht still
Auf einer Werbetafel:
"Günstiger wär gestohl'n"
Ich glaub in diesem Leben
Ist hier nichts mehr zu holn
Ich weiss nicht wo ich bin
Lauf durch die Straßen
Was ist hier gewesen?
Die Geisterstadt beginnt
Hier tief im Osten
Wo ist alles Leben?
Ich weiss nicht wo ich bin
Lauf durch die Straßen
Was ist hier gewesen?
Die Geisterstadt beginnt
Hier tief im Osten
Hier tief im Osten
Hier tief im Osten
Hier tief im Osten
The song "Geisterstadt" by Clueso (which translates to "Ghost town") is a haunting depiction of a desolate, abandoned city that is suspended in time. The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a place where life once thrived but has since disappeared, leaving only memories and remnants behind. The artist compares the ghost town to a ghostly presence that remains long after the living have left.
The imagery in the song is incredibly powerful, with descriptions of nameless signs, cranes, and high-rise buildings that hang like thick, motionless threads in the sky. The lyrics also describe the forgotten inhabitants of the city, whose lives are now trapped beneath the sidewalk and whose wishes are frozen like the city itself. The artist walks through the city, noticing empty apartments and a bus schedule that has long-since lapsed into decay. The only present company is that of the artist himself, the ghost of the city, and the question of what happened to all those who used to walk these streets.
