The enemy forces took the flesh of the fallen to feed their thirst for blood.

They threw us to the dark flames
The bodies of those killed in war were thrown into dark flames.

So our lives could be eaten by their gods
The enemy forces believed that their gods consumed the lives of the dead.

Pain and fear through massacre
The massacre brought pain and fear to all involved.

Drowned the spirits into void
The massacre left the survivors feeling empty, their spirits broken.

There was no more light in thought
The survivors could not find any positive thoughts or hope.

But a hellfire in the core
Instead, they felt a burning hatred and anger deep inside.

Within the pile of corpses
Among the dead bodies on the battlefield,

That were left to decompose,

I crawled and fought
