Ask Her to Dance
Coconut Records Lyrics
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ooh ooh ooh oooh
Ooh
Mm mm mm, mm mm mm
Mm mm mm, mm mm mm
Mm
Ask her to dance and she'll tell you a lie
Tell her she's wrong and she'll tell you you're right
Though it feels like this evening moving so slow
Oh no
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Well the problem with this see I don't understand
You say you'll come with me but you don't take my hand
The sun set on this town only hours ago
Though it feels like this evening don't want to come slow
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Oh no
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Am I making sense
Oh ooh oh oh oh oh

Despite leaving the band for an acting career, he still composes music for some films. He also contributed to Ben Lee's 2005 album "Awake is the New Sleep". Recently, Dentyne Ice aired a commercial titled "face time" where a few seconds of the song, "Summer Day" from his Nighttiming record is played. Most recently he has starred in the HBO series "Bored to Death," for which he wrote the title theme.

Reminds me of a mix of Modest Mouse, The Beatles, and somehow the Beach Boys too. Love it.

I could see any one of those amazing bands making this. Jason definitely brings his own flavor into it though.
