My Venus
Ek dink dit is die sterre
In haar oë wat my pla
My Venus
My Venus
Deur haar mooi getooide venster nooi sy my
My Venus
My Venus
Daar's iets in daardie glimlag wat my sinne erg versteur
Ek wens ek kon my vinger sonder twyfel daarop lê
My Venus
My Venus
Deur haar mooi getooide venster nooi sy my
My Venus
My Venus
Deur haar mooi getooide venster nooi sy my
My Venus
My Venus
Want kyk, want kyk, want kyk (Oh, yeah)
Sy's 'n winkelvensterpop

The song "Venus" by Coenie De Villiers is a poetic meditation on a woman who inspires both admiration and confusion in the singer. The lyrics convey a sense of conflict between the woman's physical beauty and an intangible quality that the singer cannot quite name. He observes her grace, the way she carries herself, the sparkle in her eyes, and the warmth that she can project, but there is also a sense of unease, a feeling that there is something missing, something that he cannot quite grasp. The lyrics also convey a sense of manipulation and temptation, as the woman invites the singer to experience her joy but also seems to toy with his feelings. The song ends with a sense of unresolved tension, with the singer still struggling to understand and come to terms with his complex feelings for this enigmatic woman.
Overall, the lyrics to "Venus" are a poetic exploration of the complexity of desire and the challenges of truly knowing another person. They also reflect on the ways that beauty can be alluring but also deceptive, and the difficulties of navigating the power dynamics that can arise in a romantic relationship.
