Out of My Mind
Colbie Caillat Lyrics

Said those words you always say,
And I cried.
I've gotta figure out what's going on inside this head of mine,
I try.
I'm going crazy thinkin' 'bout the way I shouldn't have left it all behind.
I changed my mind.
[Chorus]
I'm so in love with you,
I don't know what to do this time,
And though you're out of sight,
You're never ever out of my mind.
I saw you just the other day,
Those feelings never went away,
And I smiled.
I told ?
And I want us to be friends,
And we'll be alright.
Don't know what to say,
It's getting harder everyday,
But it takes time.
You should know,
I'm coming home.
Standby.
[Chorus]
and as the time passes by,
I fall asleep, without you by my side.
I go out of my mind,
Remembering the way we were.
Before.
[Chorus]
oh no, no no no.
Ooh ooh
I'm so in love with you,
I don't know what to do,
This time.
The song "Out of My Mind" by Colbie Caillat is about the struggle of trying to move on from a past relationship while still being deeply in love with the person. The song starts with the singer receiving a phone call, likely from the person they are still in love with, and the words they say make the singer cry. The singer is trying to figure out what's going on inside their head and is going crazy thinking about how they shouldn't have left the relationship behind. The chorus repeats the sentiment that the singer is so in love with the person that they can't get them out of their mind.
In the second verse, the singer sees the person they are in love with and the feelings are still there. The singer tries to tell the person that they want to be friends and that everything will be alright, but it's getting harder every day. However, the singer promises that they are coming home, suggesting that they want to be with the person again. The bridge emphasizes the difficulties of falling asleep without the person by their side and remembering what it was like before they separated. The song ends with the chorus repeating again, emphasizing the singer's strong feelings for the person.
Overall, "Out of My Mind" is a song about the internal struggle of wanting to move on from a past relationship while still being in love with the person. The chorus's repetition of "you're never ever out of my mind" reinforces how deeply the singer still feels for the person.
