Santa Baby
Colbie Caillat Lyrics

I've been an awful good girl
Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa baby, an out of space convertible too, light blue
I'll wait up for you dear
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Think of all the fellas that I haven't kissed
Next year I could be oh so good
If you'd check off my Christmas list
Boo doo bee doo
Santa honey, I wanna yacht and really that's
Not a lot
I've been an angel all year
Santa baby, so hurry down the chimney tonight
Santa cutie, there's one thing I really do need, the deed
To a platinum mine
Santa cutie, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Whoa oh oh
Santa baby, I'm filling my stocking with a duplex, and checks
Sign your X on the line
Santa baby, hurry down the chimney tonight
Come and trim my Christmas tree
With some decorations bought at Tiffany's
I really do believe in you
Let's see if you believe in me
Boo doo bee doo
Santa baby, forgot to mention one little thing, a ring
I don't mean on the phone
Santa baby, and hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
Hurry down the chimney tonight
In "Santa Baby", Colbie Caillat paints the picture of a woman who has been good all year and is expecting to be rewarded by Santa with luxurious gifts. She starts by asking for a sable to be put under the tree, then goes on to request an out-of-space convertible, a yacht, the deed to a platinum mine, a duplex with checks, decorations from Tiffany's, and finally, a ring. Throughout the song, she flirts with Santa, calling him "baby", "honey", and "cutie", and promises to wait up for him when he comes down the chimney. She also acknowledges all the fun she's missed out on and the men she hasn't kissed, but assures Santa that she could turn over a new leaf and be good next year if he just checks off everything on her Christmas list.
The song is a playful take on the classic Christmas tune, with Colbie Caillat infusing it with a fun and flirty energy. It's a reminder to not take life too seriously and to enjoy the holiday season with a bit of humor and whimsy. It's also a commentary on our society's obsession with material possessions and the culture of consumerism that surrounds Christmas.
