After independently releasing an extended play, Safety (1998), Coldplay signed with Parlophone in 1999. The band's debut album, Parachutes (2000), included their breakthrough single "Yellow" and received a Brit Award for British Album of the Year, a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album and a Mercury Prize nomination. Their second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), won the same accolades and included "Clocks", which earned a Grammy Award for Record of the Year. In 2005, they released X&Y; the album was marked by a troubled production and various delays, completing what the band considered a trilogy as well. Coldplay's fourth effort, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and their first Album of the Year nomination, while its title track was the first British group song to reach number-one in the United Kingdom and United States simultaneously in the 21st century. Both X&Y and Viva la Vida were the best-selling albums of their respective years, topping the charts in more than 30 countries each.
Since then, Coldplay further diversified their sound with the subsequent releases Mylo Xyloto (2011), Ghost Stories (2014), A Head Full of Dreams (2015), Everyday Life (2019) and Music of the Spheres (2021). Each album presented a unique theme and added new musical styles to the band's original repertoire, including electronica, ambient, pop, R&B, funk, classical, jazz fusion, and progressive rock. They are also known for "euphoric" live performances, which NME said are when the band "come alive and make the most sense". To celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2018, a career-spanning documentary directed by Mat Whitecross was premiered at selected cinemas, featuring previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage.
With 100 million albums sold worldwide, Coldplay are the most successful band of the 21st century and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. According to Fuse, they are also the sixth-most awarded group in history. Other notable achievements include the seventh-highest-grossing tour of all time, three of the 50 highest-selling albums ever in the United Kingdom, the most number-one records in the country without ever missing the top, most nominations and wins for a band in Brit Awards history, and becoming the first British group to debut at number-one on the Billboard Hot 100. Coldplay are considered one of the most influential bands of the 21st century as well, with Forbes describing them as the standard for the current alternative scene. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame included A Rush of Blood to the Head on their "200 Definitive Albums" list and the single "Yellow" is part of their "Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll" exhibition for being one of the most successful and important recordings in the industry. In spite of their popularity and impact, Coldplay have earned a reputation as polarizing music icons.

I toss and turn, I keep stressing my mind, mind
I look for peace, but see, I don't attain
What I need for keeps, this silly game we play, play
Now look at this
Madness the magnet keeps attracting me, me
I try to run, but see, I'm not that fast
I think I'm first but surely finish last, last, last
'Cause day and night
The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night
He's all alone through the day and night
The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night, at, at, at night
Hold the phone
The lonely stoner, Mr. Solo Dolo
He's on the move, can't seem to shake the shade
Within his dreams he sees the life he's made, made
The pain is deep
A silent sleeper, you won't hear a peep
The girl he wants don't seem to want him too
Seems the feelings that she had are through, through, through
'Cause day and night
The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night
He's all alone through the day and night
The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night, at, at, at night
Day and night
The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night
He's all alone, some things will never change
The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night, at, at, at night
And I've got some issues no one else can see
I got some issues no one else can see
All these emotions pouring (pouring out of me)
Day and night
The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night
He's all alone through the day and night
The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night, at, at, at night
Oh, day and night
The lonely stoner seems to free his mind at night
He's all alone, some things will never change
The lonely loner seems to free his mind at night
At, at, at night
Day and night
Oh, day and night
Oh, day and night
Oh, day and night
Oh, day and night
Oh, day and night
The lyrics of Coldplay's song "Day โnโ Nite" by Kid Cudi dive into themes of loneliness, inner turmoil, and the struggle for mental peace. The singer describes a constant battle within their mind, tossing and turning day and night, seeking peace but never quite attaining it. The repetition of "day and night" emphasizes the continuous nature of this struggle, hinting at a cycle that seems unbreakable. The mention of a "silly game we play" suggests a sense of futility or hopelessness in trying to find what they need.
The mention of "madness the magnet keeps attracting me" alludes to the singer feeling drawn to chaos or negative thoughts, despite their attempts to resist. This internal conflict is further highlighted by the line "I try to run, but see, I'm not that fast," suggesting a sense of being unable to escape from their own thoughts and emotions. The feeling of always finishing last despite thinking they are first adds to the sense of defeat and frustration in the singer's words.
The portrayal of the "lonely stoner" who finds solace in freeing his mind at night sheds light on the singer's coping mechanism for dealing with their isolation and struggles. The imagery of the "silent sleeper" who harbors deep pain and unrequited feelings adds a layer of melancholy to the narrative. The singer's yearning for connection and understanding, as well as their emotional turmoil pouring out of them, adds depth to the portrayal of their internal struggles.
Overall, the lyrics of "Day โnโ Nite" paint a poignant picture of a lonely individual grappling with inner demons and seeking solace in the solitude of night. The repeated refrain of "day and night" underscores the cyclical nature of their struggles and the enduring quest for mental peace and emotional release. The song captures the universal experience of feeling alone and misunderstood, while also hinting at the resilience and introspection that can come from facing one's inner turmoil head-on.

How come this is not popular?
@luisbernal9589
Right?
@GamerToday
Because its mental and full of tons of tunning ๐๐๐๐ its a sloppy mix and weird asf.
Plus a white band shouldnt cover a black artist without proper transfer or recognition. Its offensive or strange. In this case just very strange and a sloppy asf mix.
Its brutal the amount of tunning is horrible. It doesnt even make sense why anyone would listen to this crap
