After independently releasing an extended play, Safety (1998), Coldplay signed with Parlophone in 1999. The band's debut album, Parachutes (2000), included their breakthrough single "Yellow" and received a Brit Award for British Album of the Year, a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Music Album and a Mercury Prize nomination. Their second album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), won the same accolades and included "Clocks", which earned a Grammy Award for Record of the Year. In 2005, they released X&Y; the album was marked by a troubled production and various delays, completing what the band considered a trilogy as well. Coldplay's fourth effort, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (2008), received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and their first Album of the Year nomination, while its title track was the first British group song to reach number-one in the United Kingdom and United States simultaneously in the 21st century. Both X&Y and Viva la Vida were the best-selling albums of their respective years, topping the charts in more than 30 countries each.
Since then, Coldplay further diversified their sound with the subsequent releases Mylo Xyloto (2011), Ghost Stories (2014), A Head Full of Dreams (2015), Everyday Life (2019) and Music of the Spheres (2021). Each album presented a unique theme and added new musical styles to the band's original repertoire, including electronica, ambient, pop, R&B, funk, classical, jazz fusion, and progressive rock. They are also known for "euphoric" live performances, which NME said are when the band "come alive and make the most sense". To celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2018, a career-spanning documentary directed by Mat Whitecross was premiered at selected cinemas, featuring previously unseen behind-the-scenes footage.
With 100 million albums sold worldwide, Coldplay are the most successful band of the 21st century and one of the best-selling music acts of all time. According to Fuse, they are also the sixth-most awarded group in history. Other notable achievements include the seventh-highest-grossing tour of all time, three of the 50 highest-selling albums ever in the United Kingdom, the most number-one records in the country without ever missing the top, most nominations and wins for a band in Brit Awards history, and becoming the first British group to debut at number-one on the Billboard Hot 100. Coldplay are considered one of the most influential bands of the 21st century as well, with Forbes describing them as the standard for the current alternative scene. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame included A Rush of Blood to the Head on their "200 Definitive Albums" list and the single "Yellow" is part of their "Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll" exhibition for being one of the most successful and important recordings in the industry. In spite of their popularity and impact, Coldplay have earned a reputation as polarizing music icons.

They say people go
This particular diamond was extra special
And though you might be gone, and the world may not know
Still I see you, celestial
And I should but I can't let you go
But when I'm cold, I'm cold
Cold
There's a light that you give me when I'm in shadow
There's a feelin' within me, an everglow
Like brothers in blood or sisters who ride
Yeah, we swore on that night we'd be friends 'til we die
But the changin' of winds, and the way waters flow
Life is short as the falling of snow
And I'm gonna miss you, I know
But when I'm cold, cold
In water rolled, salt
I know you're always with me and the way you will show
And you're with me wherever I go
And you give me this feelin', this everglow
Oh, what I wouldn't give for just a moment to hold
Because I live for this feelin', this everglow
So if you love someone, you should let them know
Oh, the light that you gave me will everglow
God is watching me
God is, God don't praise me because I beat Joe Frazier
God don't give nothin' 'bout Joe Frazier
God don't care nothin' about England or America
As far as real wealth, it's all his
He wants to know how do we treat each other, how do we help each other
So, I'm gonna dedicate my life to using my name and popularity to helping charities
Helping people, unite with people
Bring, people bombing each other because of religious beliefs
We need somebody in the world to help us all make peace
So when I die, if there's a heaven, I'm gonna see it
The lyrics of Coldplay’s song Everglow are a poignant reflection on the memories we hold of those we have lost. The song is about moving on from that person and the struggles that come with that process, but also about cherishing and holding onto the memories of that person. Throughout the song, there is a sense of longing for the person who is no longer there, yet also an appreciation for the light and everglow that they brought to our lives.
The opening lyrics of the song create an image of the transient nature of people in our lives. People come and go, but sometimes we meet someone who is “extra special”. The singer acknowledges that this person might be gone, and the world may not know, but he still sees them as celestial. This idea of someone being celestial emphasizes their importance and significance in the singer’s life.
The chorus of the song emphasizes the connection between the singer and the person he has lost. He talks about the light that the person gave him, which he can still feel when he’s in the shadows. This light is the everglow, which is a symbol of the eternal bond between the two.
In the second verse, the singer talks about the connections between people; how they can be brothers and sisters, and friends forever. The changing of winds and the flow of water are metaphors for how life changes, and people come and go. He acknowledges that life can be short like fall, and snow, and that he will miss the person he has lost.
Overall, the lyrics of Everglow are a heartfelt reflection on the memories and connections between people, and the everglow that exists when that person is gone. It’s a beautiful reminder of the importance of cherishing the people we love and letting them know how much they mean to us.

We see people coming
We observe individuals arriving
See people go
We witness persons departing
This particular timing is extra special
This moment is especially significant
I know you might be gone
I am aware that you may have left
And the world may not know
The world may not be aware
Still, I see you celestial
However, I perceive you as heavenly
Like a lion, you ran
You ran like a lion
Goddess, he wrote
He wrote about you like a goddess
Like an eagle, you circle
You circle like an eagle
Perfect of all
You were perfect above all else
So how come things move on?
Why do things continue to progress?
How come cars don't slow?
Why don't vehicles slow down?
When it feels like the end of the world
Even when it seems like the apocalypse
When I should but I can't let you go
When I know I should release you, but I can't
But when I'm cold, cold
However, when I'm feeling cold
There's a light that you give me
You bestow upon me a light
When I'm in shadows
During times when I'm in the dark
There's a feeling of ever, everglow
I experience an everlasting glow
We're brothers in that
We are united in this way
The sisters you write
The women you write about
When we stroll on like that
As we walk together like that
Be friends 'til we die
Let's remain friends until we pass away
With the changing of winds
As the wind patterns change
And the way waters flow
And the way the water currents move
Life is shortest in fall, in the snow
Life is too brief during fall and snow
I know I'm going to miss you, I know
I know I will miss you
But when I'm cold, cold
However, when I'm feeling cold
Yeah, all alone, the sun
Yeah, alone in the sunshine
And I know that you're with me
And I know you are with me
And the way you will show, when you're with me wherever I go
And how you will demonstrate your presence with me wherever I go
But you give me this feeling, it's everglow
But you provide me with this ever-glowing emotion
What I wouldn't give for this moment to hold
I would do anything to keep this moment
Yeah, I live for this feeling, it's everglow
Yeah, I survive for this feeling, this ever-glowing perception
So if you love someone, you should let them know
Therefore, if you love someone, you should tell them
Oh, the light that you gave me will everglow
The light you gifted me will continue to glow eternally

Coldplay - Everglow (Lyrics)
Oh, they say people come, say people go
This particular diamond was extra special
And though you might be gone, and the world may not know
Still I see you, celestial
And I should, but I can’t let you go
But when I’m cold, cold
When I’m cold, cold
There’s a light that you give me when I’m in shadow
There’s a feeling within me, everglow
Like brothers in blood, sisters who ride
Ye' we swore on that night we’d be friends 'til we die
But the changing of winds, and the way waters flow
Life is short as the falling of snow
And now, I’m gonna miss you, I know
But when I’m cold, cold
In water rolled, salt
And I know you’re always with me and the way you will show
And you’re with me wherever I go
And you give me this feeling, this everglow
Oh, what I wouldn't give for just a moment to hold
Yeah, I live for this feeling, this everglow
So if you love someone, you should let them know
Oh, the light that you left me will everglow

@@sonicobsessions947 they profit from teaching.
Based on your logic,
because Einstein came up with E = mc^2, teachers today cannot teach that equation and profit from it 🤷🏽
