I'm sorry guys. I never meant to be insensitive. It's just that, I have gone through a similar phase myself and what I have realized is that depression is place where you don't have any answers. And if you want to find answers, you need first start asking questions. Like, why are you here in the first place? And when you find an answer to that. The next step is action. I'm not saying it's easy. It's easy for some people and not for others. But it's logical. And you're the one who actually decides whether you make it easy or not. My point was to help him start, because sooner or later he has to, of course that's his choice. But the sooner, the better. It's at least how I try to get out of it everyday. Somedays I can. Somedays I can't and I just go back into my cacoon and push people away. But I know I'll break it now more sooner than later because it's bad for me. I hope he realizes that one day also. (I hope I'm making sense for you all).

Coldplay was truly a medicine for me. I was 14 when I fell in love with Coldplay. I was dealing with bullying at high school, my parents discussed all the time and I felt guilty. Parachutes, A Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y saved me.

Coldplay may have become a bit more mainstream and their beat is now a bit different too but you cant deny that they have stayed true to themselves.Their message is still the same and it still has meaning behind it.Ghost stories was a bit different because he was going through a divorce but it was still deep.This is without a doubt one of the best band of our time

Martin used to listen to this song with Gwyneth Paltrow. She first met him three weeks after her father died, and they would listen to this album together to support her. It inspired Martin to write Fix You. For me, this album reminds me of my own father. He's not dead or anything, but it reminds me to appreciate the time I spend with him, as it was in his car on the way back from an Aston Villa match that we binged this album. I'm astonished that they didn't consider this song big enough to release as a single. If it were up to me, this would've been their title track. Such a powerful song.

I just found the tracks of parachutes a couple of weeks ago. I listened to these as a kid (16 years now) because my mother loved the band. Honestly I love the comments here and I’ll share my story real quick. Saw them when I was 17 years old and that was 17 years ago. This song and their first two albums genuinely helped me during a hard time in life. If I ever had to say a song is beautiful, I’d pick this one because it truly is kind and well meaning and shows the raw emotion of not being okay but also saying it’s okay not to be okay. I've been having a hard time ever since my mom left, her family abused me, my friends used me, I was bullied everyday at school, so I dropped out of school. I used to always get beaten up by my family, thats why I used to run away from home every after that just so I could breathe. then my mom came back, and just made things worse for me. It was hard as it is for me back then, but now I just want to give up on everything, and stop convincing myself everyday that everythings gonna be alright, that someday I'll be happy, like everyone else. and that I'll get what I deserve and prayed for, and that I'm not alone, that someone needs me, someone actually wants me to be happy, that there's someone who truly cares for me. that there's someone who actually wants me in their lives. someone who doesnt want me dead, bcos my family does. someone who doesnt think I'm a bad person just bcos I wanted to be heard. I wanna live, and be happy. that's all I ever wanted. I ran away from home bcos my cousin was abt to beat me up again for no reason, he just hates me, and he said that no matter what I do, even if I do nothing, he'll always hate me and that I should adjust for him if I dont want to get beaten up, and my grandmother and my auntie were mad at me, and yelling at me, cursing me, and were about to hit me and I always get scared when they do that bcos when they do, I'm afraid I might do something bad, I'm afraid that one day I'll get tired of fighting for my life, and my desire to be happy, and just give up on everything. i just wanted to let this out bcos no one's willing to listen to me, be there for me. no one truly understands me. I'm having a really, really hard time, thanks to this song, I kind of feel better. Hoping everything's not lost.
