Hurts Like Heaven
Coldplay Lyrics

Written in graffiti on a bridge in a park
Do you ever get the feeling
That you're missing the mark?
It's so cold, it's so cold
It's so cold, it's so cold

Written up in marker on a factory sign
I struggle with the feeling
That my life isn't mine
It's so cold, it's so cold
It's so cold, it's so cold

See the arrow that they shot trying
To tear us apart took the fire from my belly and
The beat from my heart
Still I won't let go
Still I won't let go

You, ooh, ooh
Oh you, use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

On every street, every car, every surface in nature
And at the streets are rising and you'd rather sing
Don't let them take control
No, we won't let 'em take control

Yes, I feel a little bit nervous
Yes, I feel nervous and I cannot relax
I'm coming 'round to get us
I'm coming 'round when they don't know the facts

So on a concrete canvas and a glow in the dark
On a concrete canvas, I will make you a mark
Armed with the spray can soul
Let me out with the spray can soul

You, ooh, ooh
Ooh, ooh, ooh

'Cause you use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

Whoa-oh-oh
Whoa-oh-oh

Yeah, it's true, when you
Use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

Oh and it hurts like heaven

'Do you ever get the feeling that you're missing the mark?'
It's so cold it's so cold
It's so cold it's so cold

Written up in marker on a factory sign
'I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine'
It's so cold it's so cold
It's so cold it's so cold

See the arrow that they shot
Trying to tear us apart
Take the fire from my belly and the beat from my heart
Still I won't let go
Still I won't let go

Of you- ooh ooh
'Cause you do
Oh you use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

On every street every car every surface are names
Tonight the streets are ours and we're writing and saying
Don't let em take control
No we won't let em take control

Yes I feel a little bit nervous
Yes I feel nervous and I cannot relax
How come they're out to get us?
How come they're out when they don't know the facts?

So on a concrete canvas under cover of dark
On a concrete canvas I'll go making my mark
Armed with a spray can soul
I'll be armed with a spray can soul

And you ooh ooh
You ooh ooh
You use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

Woah oh oh oh, woah oh oh oh
Yeah it's true
When you
Use your heart as a weapon
Then it hurts like heaven
And it hurts like heaven
Oh oh oh-oh

I hate the people who say Coldplay's only good albums are the first 3. This is an amazing album. Just because it's pop doesn't mean it's bad.

I guess I am one of those people who largely prefer their first three albums. But I will say that Mylo Xyloto is an exception; it has songs that undeniably sound great, though my main gripe was always that it didn't give the same sound and feel that their previous songs did. I dont like their new stuff much anymore, but they're not a bad band; I still have massive respects for them and basically always have since I was 3

This is actually my favorite Coldplay album...

They turn full circle and love how you can see their lives being played out through their music which is why so many can relate to this.... every track is relatable....
