Damn. I sympathize for all the people here with such memories of significant people in their lives. I feel for you.

I'm at a weird point in life where my career took off, I achieved one of my biggest dreams (owning a Tesla), and a job I love doing game programming. The kind of stuff I dreamed about for almost the last decade!

I know how some people dislike this song because it's not as deep as, say, Yellow, The Scientist, Paradise, Viva la Vida, Clocks, etc etc etc. But I feel like Coldplay hasn't changed that much. Sure, it's a different genre, but hey. Can't stick with the old forever. It's true. It is good that the band is innovating it's sound. Good bands through time have changed their styles. For example, Queen. If you listen to Bohemian Rhapsody, and then to Radio Ga-Ga or Invisible Man, you'll notice it's not the same sound, but it's still Queen, just like Coldplay is doing now.

I get tired of people saying that Coldplay now is trash. they are still better than most of pop music nowdays. Coldplay i think its smart of them trying to sound different every album. if you don't like this album, maybe you will like the next one.

Well, we can all agree that Mylo Xyloto was at least the most UPBEAT album to date. And this isn't just sounding different, the singer got a divorce on bad terms which is why he's being like this. But don't let it break your heart, even though every teardrop is a waterfall and it was a major minus, he'll get over it eventually.

This album has a really strong identity. If you listen carefully, you'll see that all the songs have the same "style" and this is how Ghost Stories sounds like, not only Magic.

America you have me to thank. In 2001 when I discovered coldplay and fell in love with them. I had just moved back to Ireland from Florida. I came back florida in 2002 when they released Parachutes and gave copies to all my American buddies. They of.course had never heard of coldplay and to this day are still fans. They told everyone they knew and coldplay was born in the states. You're welcome

Dad, this became a favourite of yours just before you died. It will be two years since you died on the 23rd of February. I was feeling so depressed last night feeling like everything I do is pointless in life, but then I had a dream this morning. In it you were doing your usual thing, cooking and trying out different things.. I was sitting on the couch trying to do some art, something I'm struggling with terribly atm.. I got frustrated and said I give up.. Everything felt so real.. Like I was awake. But you came and sat with me and looked at my picture and told me that everything takes practice, that life is going to be hard.. But after all the hard work and practice it eventually pays off and the reward is great for those who keep trying. Then this song started playing, and then you turned to me, looked at me and put your arms around me and just held me for what seemed like hours.. I felt a kind of peace I never felt before. You just held me and I said to you that this is so nice, you told me that you don't know why you never did this with me when you were alive.. But you wish you did, and that you love me.. Something you rarely ever said. (You weren't an affectionate man when you were alive, you didn't know how to share feelings.) I was crying at that point. I said I love you too. And then I woke up. I had tears on my pillow.. I tried to go back asleep to see you again but I couldn't. But this song was still playing in my head.. I know this could have been just a dream and nothing more.. But I want to believe this dream was real Dad, so I will believe. I miss you. We all do.
