Us Against the World
Coldplay Lyrics

Oh morning come bursting, the clouds amen
Lift off this blindfold, let me see again
Bring back the water, let your ships roll in
In my heart she left a hole

The tightrope that I'm walking just sways and ties
The devil as he's talking with those angel's eyes
And I just want to be there when the lightning strikes
And the saints go marching in
And sing slow it down
Through chaos as it swirls
It's us against the world

Like a river to a raindrop, I lost a friend
My drunken as a Daniel in a lion's den
And tonight I know it all has to begin again
So whatever you do, don't let go

And if we could float away
Fly up to the surface and just start again
And lift off before trouble
Just erodes us in the rain

Just erodes us in the rain
Just erodes us and see roses
In the rain

Sing slow it down
Slow it down

Through chaos as it swirls
It's us against the world
Through chaos as it swirls
It's us against the world

Don’t Panic, Politik, In My Place, Clocks, A Rush of Blood to the Head, What If, Talk, X& Y, Speed of Sound, A Message, Life in Technicolor (without vocals), Cemeteries of London, Viva La Vida (what originally got me into Coldplay (when I saw the Apple iTunes commercial on Tv in 4th grade) and my first favorite song), Strawberry Swing (my favorite overall), Death and All His Friends (go to 3:33)

Honorable Mentions: Trouble (neutral, like the piano), Square One (pretty good, borderline should be on the other list), White Shadows (neutral), Low (neutral but I like it less than White Shadows), The Hardest Part (neutral, worse than White Shadows I think), Swallowed in the Sea, Twisted Logic, ‘Til Kingdom Come, Violet Hill (used to not like it (although it is still better than White Shadows and Low) but it grew on me... it’s really a great song and borderline should be on the other list but idk it was just too dark for me the first time I watched the music video in 6th grade and I couldn’t fully appreciate it until later... and I still prefer some of their other songs over it), Hurts like Heaven (there are some parts I really like (when it’s “sped up”), but neutral overall), Charlie Brown, Up with the Birds (really beautiful song, but Us Against the World is the best on the album and I think is the only one that can truly go toe-to-toe with some of their older songs... UwtB was originally my favorite but I think it sounds nicer on the surface and doesn’t go as deep as UAtW)

Album Review
Parachutes: I wanted to like it more than I did, Yellow is obviously a great song though
A Rush of Blood to the Head: has some very strong tracks like Clocks (my favorite song at one point)
X& Y: I think this is the most consistent album and my favorite overall
Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends: Iconic, also had some really strong tracks (Viva La Vida)
Mylo Xyloto: I think this is when the quality of their albums started to really drop, although it still had some good tracks and Us Against the World is one of their best
Ghost Stories: A Sky Full of Stars is okay-pretty good, nothing else jumped out at me though when I first skimmed the album so I don’t know if there are any other good songs

X& Y and ARoBttH are truly albums that you can listen to all the way through, so I also may have missed a few songs from them especially.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Only Jesus is the way to Heaven and be saved from hell.

"But God commendeth His love toward us. In that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6

Have you confessed Jesus as your LORD and Savior? You must confess Him as your LORD believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead to be saved from eternal damnation in Hell and be able to go to Heaven.

"That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9

"For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one." 1 John 5:7

Marko

@ugly rat Mark, 10:6

"But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female"

Revelation, 21:8

"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

If you don't repent of the sin, God will give you justice. God bless you!
