His first solo record called "Democracy of One" was released in late 2009 to positive reviews.
The record was made in Montreal and produced by Pierre Marchand (Rufus Wainwright,Sarah McLachlan) and features drummer Matt Chamberlain.
He was nominated for "Best Irish Male" in the Meteor Music Awards 2010.

I randomly lapsed (?) onto the Devlin's on a compilation album. It was one of those musical happenstances that led to so much musical enrichment over the years. I think the Devlins and Colin Devlin's recognition inevitably grow merely because of the quality of their work. It's just what happens. And how it happens is a matter of serendipity, word of mouth all the multitudinous ways of the world of music and music appreciation. now go tell others to check them out and help facilitate a quicker progression...
