Crushed
Collide Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

In your revelation
In the symphony
There you stood
In your own delirium

And all your satellites
Are fragments here
I feel a little crushed
And out of control

And all your gravity
It's meant to bring you down
Makes me feel so crushed
And out of control

Oh, your velocity
How can it really be
Part of the symmetry
If every moment connects the next?

And every moment affects you
Mot what it's meant to be
Part of the scenery

And all your satellites
Are fragmented
I feel a little crushed
And out of control

And all your gravity
It's meant to bring you down
Makes me feel so crushed
And out of control

Part of your destiny
Hold on here
Not what it's meant to be
Give me something to believe in

Part of the scenery
Wishing your alchemy
Would turn dust to gold

But your not easily crushed
Not easily crushed

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of Crushed by Collide explores the themes of feeling overwhelmed, out of control and crushed by external forces. In the first stanza, the singer stumbles upon a revelation, a moment of realization but it's overshadowed by the chaos and delirium that surrounds them. The verse, "And all your satellites, are fragments here" could mean that the people surrounding the singer are scattered and not connected, causing the singer to feel isolated and crushed. The chorus talks about how the singer feels helpless, under the weight of someone else's gravity, bringing them down, and making them feel crushed and out of control.

The second verse talks about how the singer is struggling to understand how events are unfolding and how they are affected by them. They question if these events are really part of the bigger picture or just random events with no significance. They feel like they are part of the scenery and just another victim of an alchemical experiment, a metaphor for how life can be uncertain and unpredictable. In the last stanza, the singer seeks something to hold on to and believe in, tired of feeling like part of the scenery and wishing for something meaningful. The final line, "But you're not easily crushed" suggests resilience and strength, an indication that the singer will persevere through the chaos and confusion.

This song is a perfect example of their precision with every detail they implement from the mixing and instrumentation to the lyrics and even the way kaRIN chooses to place the notes, the vocals and even the voice crack during the very beginning verse at 1:11, every little detail is handled so delicately and beautifully and my god is it gorgeous

I love this song so much I listen Usually when i'm playing video games that involve a very outward perspective of not trying to accept what you're seeing but looking at what it's hiding. And for a lot of them they are very difficult. So it fits because the song is about being crushed and not having control but at the same time. It makes me want to reach out and grab something to rip it and cling to it and just start tearing away to think that I have control
