1. Colt (who changed their name from Living With Eating Disorders in 2005) are a British band, based in London, who combine electronics with more standard components of rock music to create songs that often feature calm, ethereal sections (which lead to frequent comparisons with bands like Portishead), juxtaposed with almost violent outbursts of desperation and chaos.
UK band COLT began as writing duo Living With Eating Disorders; Andrea and Jared met in a west London recording studio and on the strength of demos attracted the interest of legendary producer John Fryer.
In August 2004 they released their debut EP ‘White Like Snow’ and the end of 2004 saw the band support ‘Psychic TV’ and ‘Whitehouse’, but increasing pressure forced the band to withdraw from the public eye and on the 16th March 2005 LWED performed their last gig - a multi media gallery project ‘parliament of monsters’, with live sets, projections and sculptures.
Keen to move beyond the controversy surrounding the name, the band returned in October 2005 as COLT, with their debut album 'These Things Can't Hurt You Now, So Throw Them In The Fire' to critical acclaim from the independent worldwide press.
In May 2008, After a change in the live line-up and a change of label, COLT released the new EP "You hold on to what's not real", featuring four new tracks, and remixes by artists including Arlen Figgis and William Bennett, on their own label Obvious Records along with the video for 'Black Rabbits'.
On 1st of September Colt re-released 'These things can't hurt you now, so throw them in the fire' through Obvious Records. The album, originally released on Halloween 2005, will include bonus tracks 'Arm' and 'Lullaby Remix' by Arlen Figgis featuring Mike Figgis on Trumpet, from the 'Living with Eating Disorders' EP 'White Like Snow', and the previously unreleased (but lovingly gigged) 'Gag Reflex'.

Never Know
Colt Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And days are blue and sterile green
There's no love here
And everything you hide is seen
Everything you hide is...
If I hid from the sun
And chased darkness round
Around the world
I'd never know that you were...
In Colt's song "Never Know," the lyrics speak to the feelings of heartbreak and loss following the end of a relationship. The first two lines express the bleakness of the situation, describing that love is absent and that the days are colorless and lifeless. The next two lines amplify this emptiness by highlighting that despite attempts to hide one's pain and emotions, they are still visible and transparent. Essentially, the lyrics are conveying the sense of being completely alone and exposed after a relationship ends.
The last part of the lyrics seems to be a reflection on the idea of running away from one's problems or pain. The singer imagines chasing darkness around the world and hiding from the sun, yet realizing that it wouldn't change the fact that the person they love is gone. In some ways, this further emphasizes the helplessness and hopelessness of the situation. Overall, the lyrics of "Never Know," provide a raw and emotional look into the aftermath of heartbreak.
